Normally any death threats wouldn't really get to Alex's head, as he's used to hearing them from time to time living the life as a mercenary.

Hearing those words come from the mouth of a Herrscher, even more so coming from a Herrscher that had Kiana's voice and body just made it extrmely unsettling and unnerving for Alex.

'T-This feeling. I'm, genuinely scared right now. G-Guess that just goes to show just how imposing a Herrscher's presence truly is.' Thought the boy.

Yeah, there were plenty of times when Alex was scared or minorly uneased for a battle, but this time it was far different.

One mistake here, even the smallest of mishaps, would definitely end with his death.

He wasn't given anymore time to calm his nerves down as Alex noticed spears began to slowly emerge from the portals, like missiles being readied to launch.

Void then pointed at him, letting the spears fire one by one as Alex immediately began to dodge and avoid the spears.

At the rate they were being released, Alex wasn't even given that much time to rest as the moment he avoided one spear, he'd immediately have to move away from another one just seconds later.

Eventually, the last spear had been launched as this time Alex used it as a launch pad as he hoped onto and jumped off of it, as he readied to clash with Void once more.

Instead, Alex saw Void point two fingers at him, as he then just stopped moving in mid air.

Didn't go forward, up, or down. Just, floating there.

It felt like an anchor or tether had attached itself to him.

Alex looked up at the Herrscher, as she had a smug smirk on her face.

Then, as she slowly raised her arm, Alex noticed that he began to levitate upward.

That was when it finally clicked in Alex's mind like a lighting bolt.

'She caught me with psychokenesis!'

In an instant, Void brought her arm, slamming Alex hard back onto the ground.

The tether feeling however never went away as Void picked him up again, this time slowly bringing him towards her as he eventually was brought right in front of her.

Void slowly approached him, that smiling never leaving her face as she giggled to herself.

"L-Let me go! Put me down!" Shouted Alex.

"Hush now child. I'm merely inspecting you." Said the Herrscher, as she placed her hands on both sides of his face, observing him for a moment.

"Ah. I see now. It seems that my vessel has taken quite the liking to you. A liking that even rivals her liking for Mei Raiden." Said Void as she gently caressed the side of his face.

"L-Look. I don't know who exactly you are, but you better stop talking like that damn body belongs to you. So what if its your vessel? As far as I'm concerned, that body belongs one person and one person only, and that's Kiana Kaslana!" Shouted Alex.

"My my. Such tenacity you have. As much I'd love to just add you to the pile of worthless humans I've slained, I can't be THAT cruel to my vessel. I'll just toy with you for my entertainment. You should hope that the old timer can catch."

Void immediately had launched Alex as the boy was flung directly at Fu Hua.

"H-Hey look out!" He shouted.

Fu Hua immediately caught Alex as he collided into her, knocking both of them over and onto the ground.

They both groaned at the collision as Void laughed at the sight.

"D-Dammit. How are we supposed to even stand a chance? She can easily keep us at bay with her projectiles and even if we find an opening she can just easily grab us with her telekinesis and yank us away." Said Alex.

"Clearly we're gonna have to do something to even lay a single mark or scratch on her." Said Fu Hua.

"Guess it's just trial and error until we can figure something out." Said Alex was he immediately snapped his fingers at Void, causing a fire to burst and obscure her vision due to the smoke.

The blinded Herrscher retaliated by laughing more spears and projectiles as the two began to dodge them, with Alex stopping for a moment as he transmuted the ground, launching his own projectile into the smoke cloud and directly at the Herrscher.

'That should at least have left something on her.' Thought Alex.

As the smoke cleared, Alex was shocked to see that his projectile was gone, as Void stayed there unharmed, with a portal that had appeared in front of her.

"If you seriously thought that something like that would work on me, then think again. Better luck next time, child."

Void snapped her fingers again, as the sound of a portal opening could be heard behind Alex.

The boy was struck with fear as he slowly turned around, seeing the rift, awaiting for whatever was gonna emerge.

In a split second though, Fu Hua had dashed over and pushed Alex out of the way, as from the rift emerged Alex's projectile, as it had pierced the girl directly through her shoulder.

"Fu Hua!" Yelled Alex.

The girl yelped in pain as she fell over onto the ground, as she immediately pulled the projectile out, putting a hand over her shoulder to at least stop some amount of blood from leaking.

"I-I'm okay Alex. This, isn't anything major." Said the girl, struggling to speak a little due to the pain.

Alex would've taken her word for it, until he looked up and saw Void point two fingers at Fu Hua, just like she had done to him.

The Herrscher then had a spear form in front of her, the sharp end pointed at a downward angle, at Fu Hua.

That was when Alex noticed that at the angle that the spear was pointing at along with the direction that Fu Hua would be levitated towards Void, she'd end up being stabbed by the spear.

At this moment, there was only one thing Alex could do.

He immediately made up his mind as he sprang into action, jumping up onto his feet and quite literally ran as fast as he could.

Right when Void as made the figure gesture to bring Fu Hua closer to her, Alex shoved her out of the way, the anchor feeling attaching onto him as he began to get pulled towards the Herrscher.

He knew it was coming, and it did.

A stabbing sound was heard, as Fu Hua looked up and gasped at the sight.

Alex closed his eyes and felt a quick, slight tinge of pain.

He hesitated, almost not even wanting to open his eyes, however he did.

The first thing he saw was Void's cold, emotionless gaze at him.

Alex then felt a warm, wet feeling begin to soak the front and back of his shirt, as he looked down and saw the second thing.

The Herrscher of the Void's spear, stabbed and pierced directly through his stomach, blood all around the wound, and dripping down to the floor.
