With the picnic basket in my hand, we strolled the busy street to go back to the orphanage. My eyes anticipated this moment as they're looking my surrounding while my nose was enchanted by the smell of many kind foods in this shopping district. Some of the seller looked at the street with smile while their hands inviting their future customer. Making me feels nostalgic all over again.
It's been a while since I walked in this path. I wonder if there any change between now and its future...
Then, I felt something in my hand. As I looked down, my eyes widen up when they recognized my best friend's hand in mine. I mustered a courage to ask her what's going on.
"Tr-Tr-Trix? What are you-you doing?"
She smirked, "what? I thought you wanted me to spoil you before your birthday ended?"
I blushed even further.
"But, you-you're not-"
Never mind, this is extraordinarily nice for going back home, so... Don't make an unnecessary comment, Viona.
"Thank you," I mumbled through my embarrassed face.
"You're welcome."
We continued walking like this, even with many eyes staring at us. After all, it's a strange phenomenon that my best friend offered her hand first. People around us already used that I usually the one who ask Trix to hold hands. Eventually, they accepted what's going on and going back to their shop.
Honestly, I don't evenremember if this already happened in different timeline or not. Yet, my heartalready knew why I'm feeling like this.
