Later, we were shopping for our necessities and needs. When we passed the skewer seller, Trix suddenly stopped and dragged me there.

"Excuse me, sir," she said while preparing the wallet. "We want to buy ten skewers, please."

"Understood!" The seller accepted her request and then grilled the skewers quickly.

While we were waiting, Trix grabbed one gold coin and gave it to him. My eyes widened when I remembered how much a skewer usually costed.

"Wait, hold on. Is that enough?" I asked her in panic.

Trix stared at me strangely and answered, "It's enough."

At the same time, the seller put five silver coins in her hand. She smiled then glanced at me with a smirk on her face.

"Did you forget that one skewer is five bronze coins?"

"Oh-"

She grinned and said, "Get it now?"

"Yeah-yeah," I responded, embarrassed by my misunderstanding.

I forgot that there are still silver and bronze coins at this time.

Then, it hit me really hard.

No wonder that Elysia was so happy with only one gold coin.

As if the skewers had the ability to read moods, the seller finished cooking them. He held it out to us. Trix elbowed me softly,

I took them and said, "Thank you, sir."

"You're welcome."

Afterwards, we ate the skewers on the way to the bridge.

It was fun being with her and I hope that my best friend feels the same way as I do.
