They next morning Virgil woke up content for the first time and stretched pleasantly in the sunlight peeping through the curtains. A deep chuckle brought him out his sleepy daze causing him to snap his head up to find the owner. His eyes landed on Roman who was sitting crossed legs on the floor watching another thing on the box they called a t.v. His ears twitched listening for the other two males but swivelled back to Roman when he started speaking. "Well good morning storm cloud, did you sleep well?" Romans voice though still deep was softer in the early mornings (but that might just have been because of Virgil) Virgil returned Romans soft smile, though more hesitantly, and nodded slowly. "That's great then. Patton and Logan are just in the kitchen preparing breakfast so why don't you sit here with me and watch some Steven universe.?" Virgil listened to sounds coming from the kitchen, ears and tail twitching, and he could indeed hear the other two in the kitchen. He decided it couldn't hurt (because he's somewhere safe now. He's not with his old master) to watch this very bright show. He slowly crouched into the floor next to Roman and rested his head hesitantly on his shoulder, earning him a small line of praise 'it's alright you're doing great kitten' and scratches to his ears causing him to admit quiet cut off purs.
Half an hour later Patton announced that food was ready, so Roman coaxed a half dazed Virgil to full awareness and they both made there way to the kitchen. "Good morning kiddo! Did you sleep well?" Virgil wiggled in his seat for a second before shyly answering "u-um yeah t-thank you.."
"Well that's great I'm pleased there were no unfortunate disturbances as it is fully recommended that neko get at atleast...."
Breakfast passed in a positive manner with Logan explaining key things for nekos which then turned to talking about the shopping trip. Virgil completely forgot about that.
Patton was in charged of getting Virgil changed again, digging through the box to find another outfit for Virgil. "Let's see what else we have in here...hmmm.. OH! This is nice, what do you think?"

Virgil nodded his head quickly, the jumper, boots and socks looked super cozy. Patton giggled to himself as he watch the neko pull star gazed eyes at the jumper while slowly feeling the fluff. "Right then let's get us both changed than hm?" Virgil jumped and blushed, not realising he was feeling the jumper and hastily agreed.
Roman and Logan were just finished checking they had everything when Patton and Virgil (at a much slower pace) made their way towards them. "You both look lovely but it is time to leave, Virgil would you like to stay with one of us" Virgil quickly nodded at Logan's question and grabbed Logan's hand when it was offered towards him. With that Roman and Patton, holding hands as well, walked in front with Logan and Virgil following slowly behind.
Logan could tell that Virgil was still extremely wary outside and he noticed the slight tremors in his body. "Hey? I assure you that everything will be alright and if something does happen you've got us three to protect you"
Virgil for some strange reason, completely trusted him. Whether it was the soft eyes, the gentle tone of his voice or the fact that they had been so kind to him so far giving him spare clothes and allowing him to stay. The neko nodded with a hesitated smile earning him a smile in return and Logan's hand giving his a gentle squeeze. ——— When the finally made it to the mall he marvelled at how big it was. And how busy... He sidestepped behind Logan, a death grip on the others hand. He peaked out when the others started talking among (us) themselves.
"Ok, the first place we need to go is obviously the clothing store so we'll head there, then we'll get some shoes. After it's probably best we head to the specialised neko store" Woah is that all for me? Virgil couldn't believe they were going through all this just for a random neko that was passed out on their doorstop. He should be in a neko pet store by now..
"That sounds great Logie but before we leave we might as well treat ourselves to dinner from McDonald's" Roman cheered while Virgil just looked on confused what's McDonald's?. Virgil had no clue but Roman and Patton looked happy so he decided it was probably something nice so he started getting exited.
Logan looked down when he felt his shirt being pulled, and had to refrain from cooing at the excitement and wonder the fragile Neko was displaying so openly. He couldn't say no to him when he was so happy, so he sighed and relented "fine. We'll go to McDonald's after wards this one time okay? And nothing to heavy for Virgil his stomach might not be able to handle it"

I am so sorry that this has taken so long to be published but I wasn't sure if I was going to carry on these two fics but decided that you all enjoyed them so it would be stupid to not carry on. I hope you all enjoy and next chapter will feature our favourite character in everything...KAREN!!
