Chapter Twenty6
Hours passed and eventually I managed to get back a bit of my sanity. I actually managed to ask Jack not to give me anything, the pain wasn't that bad. I could manage just fine without it. To be honest I barely remember this morning, all I remember was petting Grinny. Luckily Jack took the time to explain to me wha happened. What was going on in my head? Petting my killer? Yeah makes perfect sense... I won't lie though he's adorable when he's not trying to kill me.
" Are you normal again?" Grinny slowly came in, careful not to get to close.
" Yeah haha, sorry." I apologized about earlier.
" It's okay." He smiled at me transforming into his human form.
He had something in his hand, and held it out to me. I put my hand out allowing him to drop it. Pulling it in for closer inspection I realized it was a necklace. It had a silver skeleton of a fish. It was tiny so it wouldn't stand out to much.
" What's this?" I asked as I lifted my arms putting it on.
" It means I'll be there for you whenever you need me." He smiled at me as he sat down next to me, " Please except this as an apology."
" Thanks." I smiled at him.
As much as I shouldn't trust him I did. I mean so far he hasn't even showed me his claws sense the incident. In fact he was kind of in the form of a child now that I think about it. He appeared to be the age of thirteen now, sometimes even my age. It was odd.
" So what are you doing?" He asked sitting next to me, resting his head on my shoulder.
" Just reading stories on Qoutev." I replied moving my computer so he could see better.
" About who?" He asked moving over to scroll to the top.
" Um it's about a girl and guy that are like polar opposites in so many ways. It's a cheesy love story." I laughed a little scratching the back of my head.
