Chapter Nin9
When we finally stopped we were in an abandoned looking barn. Maybe a garage, it was hard to tell considering it was dark and we left the flashlight. I could kind of make out that it was pretty clear. Jack lead me to a seperate room, that had a small handmade bed, with a whimpy sheet on it for a blanket. At the top was a small dirty pillow. Jack slowly made it so we could lay Hoodie down.
I couldn't really tell if Hoodie was still awake, he didn't seem like it. Yet every time we made a wrong step, or if he was jostled. He would moan in pain, or his hand would grip mine tightly. I was surprised he didn't break my hand from all the pressure he put on it. Jack let out a sigh, as we set him down. Once he was down, we sat next to him. Jack let out a groan holding his head.
" You okay?" I asked looking at him.
" Yeah, my head just hurts." He replied getting up and going to the closet that happened to be next to me.
He opened it up and went it, closing it after. A few minutes passed, and he still hadn't come out, I was now leaned up against the wall. I looked over at Hoodie. Luckily he was still breathing. I watched his chest rise and fall for a while, slowly starting to feel relaxed.
So much has happend already. How long has it been sense they entered my days? I think this was the fifth night. I don't know. Why did all of this have to happen? I mean what did I do? Was it when I went into the forest, breaking my promise? It just made no sense at all.
I let out a sigh closing my eyes. I'm so tired. Running from Alex, and helping Jack carry Hoodie didn't seem like much, but it really was. I jumped when I heard the door next to me open. My head darted to the side anxiously to see who it was. Thank god it was only Jack with a big duffle bag in his hands. He shut the door behind him, and sat the bag down. Opening it, it revealed a bunch of medical stuff. Such as syringes, gauzes, needles, bandages, and medicine. He pulled out two syringes and medicine bottles. They weren't labled at all, but each was a different color. He filled both of the syringes up, with a different medicine each. He then looked up at me.
" You're going to have to go to sleep." He stated quickly putting one syringe down next to Hoodie, before grabbing me and pulling me close to him.
I almost yelped, but he covered my mouth. I grabbed his hand as he tried to bring the syringe close to me.
" Why?" I asked struggling to keep a good hold on his hand.
" There are just some things you shouldn't see." He responded as I moved my leg up and kicked him in the face.
Right as I hit his mask he moved back. Hid mask fell off in a matter of seconds. What hid under his mask shocked the hell out of me. He had gray skin, with of course no eyes. Black ooz dripped down his face; he had a normal nose. He looked human aside from the skin. Something wiggled behind his his eye sockets, but I couldn't see what. His hand flew to his mouth, as something filled it threatening to come out. A gargled sound came from his throat. He quickly got up, turning around from me only to fall back to the ground. He let out a quiet yelp as his hand dropped. Something slithered around his face, touching the hood of his hoody. They were a slick gray color, and somewhat large. His body trembled, as he grabbed his head, keeping the hood on. They looked like tentacles.
" A-ah..." Jack seemed to be fighting what ever was inside of him.
He got closer to the wall, barely able to move from where he was at. He slammed his head on the wall numerous times. The black stuff that oozed out of his eyes sockets fell to the floor. He seemed so desperate to stop whatever it was. I suddenly felt kind of bad for him. He looked like he needed help, and to calm down. I mean come on, he was slamming his head into the wall hard enough to make himself bleed. I needed to help him. I don't care if its a death wish. I slowly stood, making sure I was silent. I carefully approached him, and gently placed a hand on his shoulder.
" Don't come close!" He warned as he groaned again, slamming his head to the wall once more.
I mearly knealed down behind him, and wrapped my arms around his waist. He stopped moving completely, as I hugged him. He sat down, leaning his back into me. His head got closer to my own. I noticed the tentacle things move closer. Right as they were close enough they touched my face. Moving about it gently, before diving into my hair. I felt a little scared as the wrapped around me, getting a feel for who I was. Jack's body shivered against my own, before returning to just trembling. I moved my arms so I was hugging Jack's chest instead. The tentales darted to my hand, wrapping around my fingers and wrist.
" D-don't..." Jack stuggled to say.
I brought a hand up to his forehead, gently placing it down. I pulled his brown bangs out of his face, and let my fingers brush his skin. More tentacles wrapped around my hand. Slowly he calmed down, and the tentacles released me. They slithered back into his mouth, making him cough violently. A few second passed before he was able to calm his body down.
" M-my m-ask..." He whispered pointing to where it fell, then let his hand drop on the floor.
I reached over and grabbed it. Thankfully it wasn't broken in anyway. I brought it in front of him. He took it before bringing it to his face. He put it on, before getting up on shakey legs.
" What was that?" I asked trying to break the silence.
" What makes me nonhuman." He replied as he went over and picked up the syringe again.
It was the same one he wanted to use on me.
" I'm sorry." I apologized, as I sat next to Hoodie once more.
" Give me your arm." He ordered, holding out a gloved hand to me.
" Just.. Just be gently, needles scare me." I replied slowly lifting my arm into my grasp.
Right as I gave him my arm, he pulled me into him. He wrapped his arms around me, a prick at the back of my neck. I went to say something, but I suddenly felt heavy and tired. My bdoy fell limp against his, luckily he caught me.
" Thank you, naturally nobody would have helped me calm down." He whispered as everything went black, " Hoodie was right, you are beautiful."
