Fairy Tail AU New World

Part 10

The Fairy Tail guild everyone goes home for the night after the long and hard fight with the dragon skeletons. Erza takes her mother back to Fairy Hill to rest so that she can regain her power. Natsu and Lucy go back to their place to rest for the night.

Lucy: * takes a hot shower and washes her hair while humming a melody*

Natsu: * laying on the bed and thinking about all the stuff that happened. He feels worried about Lucy because of the whole sudden change in appearance and size she went through. He feels that something deep inside Lucy has changed but he doesn't feel like asking since he doesn't want to make Lucy feel uncomfortable after all the stress and uncertainty they had to endure.*

Lucy: * comes out of the bathroom wrapped up in a white towel while she is rubbing another towel to her hair to dry it she walks over to Natsu* You can take a shower now Natsu* saying that while leaning over the concerned dragon*

Natsu: * looks up at her and sees her big chocolate brown eyes looking at him while a soft smile is on her face while the water from her hair is slowly rolling down her face* Yeah Okay I will be right back * sits up slowly and stands up from the bed and goes to the bathroom*

Lucy: * sits down on the bedside and finishes drying her hair and takes out a brush from the nightstand and begins to brush her hair* ( I can tell that he is worried about what happened to me but he doesn't say anything. I probably should just talk to him about it so that we can come to some closer about this) * she puts her hairbrush away and gets changed into some comfortable close.*

Natsu: * a few minutes later comes out of the bathroom already dressed wearing short pants while not having a shirt on. He walks over to Lucy and sits down on the bed next to her while not saying anything.*

Lucy: * she turned her head towards him slightly* Hey Natsu uh um can we talk. I know it's already super late but I just feel like I need to get this off my chest.

Natsu: * looks at Lucy with concern in his eyes since he doesn't know what she might want to talk about* Sure I'm here to listen Lucy what's on your mind.

Lucy: Well you know I want to talk about what happened to me today I may know why it happened. I also can tell that you are worried about me because of what happened I'm not blind I know how you just don't say anything when you are thinking about something.

Natsu: * rubs the back of his head* I guess I'm that obvious to read huh?

Lucy: Well that and I know you really well so I can tell these things.

Natsu: Yeah true

Lucy: Well anyway about my sudden change in size and appearance I may have an idea why it happened.

Natsu: Okay then I'm listening.

Lucy: Well before the change we girls were flying to the royal capital to stop the dragon skeletons and Erza said that she can't wait to turn back to normal and I just felt sad about that idea. I didn't understand why since that was also what I wanted when all this started but a lot has changed.

Natsu: Like what?

Lucy: Like us I mean before this we were not so close we were always close we goofed around and joked around then when we started to date, I just felt like I hit a wall in the way I can understand you. I always felt like since you are a dragon slayer a mix of human and dragon I can't fully grasp who you are, but after I started to change that feeling felt so far and lost. I sure was scared and confused and I didn't know what was going on but when you were by my side I felt complete and safe.

Natsu: *feels a little sad because he didn't notice that Lucy was struggling to understand him and he feels like he should have tried harder*

Lucy: I started to think about who I'm and what I'm about the fact that this power was may have been forced upon us but we still have had the choice to do as we see fit. I was conflicted about changing back and losing this closeness that I gained with you, and I made up my mind that I want to stay a dragoness. I know that this is completely the opposite of what I wanted when this all started but I feel like that like this I can truly understand you Natsu.
