Rue's Narration:
I was far too high at that party to realise what was happening around me. It seemed the Howard twins were incredible liars.

Lexi hated lying to her sisters; her twin most of all but the excitement of her new and first relationship had her wanting to keep it close and hidden even if only for a little while.  The new boy who had transferred schools had won the Howard girl over quite easily. She moved her fingers through the messy brown locks to make herself look presentable as her mind raced a mile a minute. Lexi traced her swollen bottom lip as her cheeks blushed easily.
"What you thinking about?" The voice from behind her had Lexi looking over her shoulder. Stavo leaned back into the bed as if he owned it, which he partly did being McKay's cousin and all. "Nothing," Lexi tried to lie as she leaned to pull her heels up.

It seemed she had underestimated Stavo's interest in her as he moved to sit; pulling the shirt around his bare chest. "Want to try that again?" He stalked closer; wrapping his arm around her waist from behind. A moment of silence tightened around them as Lexi turned into his hold. "I just hate lying." Lexi moved to say more before movement caught her eye and she looked through the open bedroom door to the hallway. For a moment she thought she saw what looked like her twin and Nate.

"You okay?" He repeated and watched her body language as he moved closer to the door but Lexi gently shut it; knowing if Nate was noted of an audience, it wouldn't end well. "Yeah, I should just find my sisters soon." Lexi locked eyes with him as her words fell from her.  Stavo moved closer; his hands tracing her sides before they lips met.

Fezco softly stroked Victoria's wrist as they continued their conversation. His blue eyes moving down to the growing bruise every now and then as he watched his girl talk so animatedly. Fez could listen to her for hours, he thought to himself whilst his fingers moved to play with a lock of hair that had fallen. "I'm sorry. I seem to be the only one talking." Victoria began to babble as she lost herself in those bright, blue eyes. "I like listening to you." Fez replied, causing her to blush ever so prettily. "Hmm, you are smooth." She giggled and moved onto his lap; her third drink of the night completely forgotten about.
Fezco only smirked as he brushed their noses together, "Want to get out of here?" He whispered into her ear. A soft shiver ran down her spine as Victoria burrowed into his neck for a moment. "Yes please." Victoria pressed a soft kiss to his neck before gracefully removing herself from his lap.

Her hands reached for his to cheekily tug him up. Victoria began to look for Ash; not noticing the other set of eyes on her. "I hope he has a growing spurt soon, I can never find him." Victoria pouted and returned her gaze to Fez. All she was received was a chuckle and a kiss to her temple before Fez nodded his head to the gardens where Ash was standing; bored out of his mind. She would never understand their connection but Victoria noted how her and Lexi were similar that way.

The thought of her twin had Victoria reaching for her phone as Fez motioned Ash with his fingers. She messaged her twin that she was heading off now and would see her soon. It wasn't normal for Lexi to be so unresponsive but those thoughts were washed away when she caught sight of the girl in question.

"Lexi," Victoria called; missing the boy next to her twin who stepped to the side. The new person wasn't so easily missed by Fezco who stepped towards the pair; behind Victoria as Ash waited at the back of them. "Hi, Tory." The nickname only Lexi called her brought a smile to her face. "Where have you been?" Victoria began to ask as her eyes looked to the side and narrowed. He seemed familiar, she thought to herself.  "Oh, I ..we," Lexi was usually better with words than this and she fought against the blush coming her way. "We?" Victoria asked with a frown as Fezco read the situation easily and wrapped his arms around her from behind.

"I think we should leave them to it." He purred; his bright blues locked on the unknown male for a moment before playing with a lock of Victoria's hair. "Right, but call me." Victoria pressed a kiss to her twin's cheek before moving away. She looked over her should once more to watch them. "I think he's new. Hmm, he's cute." Victoria babbled her thoughts as she looked over her twin. "Cute?" Fez took her hand in his as his voice deepened. "You are handsome." Victoria hummed and pressed a kiss to his chin as they moved towards the door.

"Gross," Ash scoffed but he watched with softness not many saw. He would protect the two in front of him. Those eyes of his found Nate once more who seemed to be finally distracted. "Hmm, love you." Victoria whispered against Fezco's lips and tugged him against her before cuddling into his side from the cold.

The worry for her twin began to spread as she sent another message for her to be told when Lexi had returned home. Not that was naive enough to think she would do but she couldn't stop herself. "She'll be fine." Fez promised and placed his hand on her thigh as the car started and the trio finally left the dead party.
Victoria looked down at her colourful bruise; looking up at Fez from under her lashes as she felt guilt for lying. Surely, it was best to lie when it was protecting the one you love, right?
