Unfortunately, Fez and Ash had a deal the day after the party so Victoria was dropped off at her home on their way back. It was nice to have the place to herself with her mother off on one of her many weekends away. Cassie was god knows where but at least she knew Lexi was safe and enjoying herself by the looks of it as she giggled at her twin's reply.
Lexi's name flashed on her phone and she swiped to answer. "Hi," Victoria softly greeted her twin as she cuddled the pillow closer to her. She pressed for the video call and watched her sister's face come on screen. Any words Lexi was going to say were lost as Victoria began her interrogation. "How long has this been going on? Who is he?" Her questions fell as she babbled. "Tory." Lexi giggled and looked behind her to the closed bathroom door. "He came to town about a month ago now," Lexi began to explain. "He was assigned to be my science partner." Victoria watched a soft smile come over her twin's face. "Hmm, and?" Victoria could only tease. "And we just connected." Lexi whispered, looking over her shoulder once more as Victoria assumed Stavo was in the bathroom.
"I'm happy for you." Victoria smiled sweetly; happiness and sincerity rushing through her. She watched her twin giggle as she relaxed back in the sofa. "Thanks Tory." Lexi hummed into the phone; a wide smile spreading across her face. "How are you and Fez?" Her twin changed the subject as she made herself comfortable in the bed. "Good, so good." Victoria happily hummed; placing her thoughts of Nate so far away as she took comfort in the conversation.
"Yeah?" Lexi smiled happily as she listened to her twin whilst bring the covers up to her knees. She was happy that Victoria had found Fez; their relationship was something she aspired to have of her own. Victoria giggled into the phone as she cuddled into the sofa. "I got really lucky." She whispered as if it was a secret. "He got lucky with you." Lexi corrected her before turning around as if hearing something behind her. "Got to go?" Victoria cheekily teased with a raised eyebrow; her twin's cheeks aflame. "Yeah..I'll speak to you soon." Lexi rushed out before cancelling the call to the sound of Victoria's laughter.

The morning slowly moved on with Victoria trying to distract herself from the unanswered messages she had sent to Fez with trash television. It had made her anxiety worsen but she knew there was always radio silence when he was on a deal and this time was no different. Except it felt like it and Victoria didn't understand why.
The knock had her mind clearing, which Victoria was thankful for as she moved to pause her show. Her heart skipped a beat at the idea of Fez returning early and a soft smile spread across her face as she eagerly reached for the door.
It wasn't Fez standing there. It was the one person Victoria hadn't wanted to see any time soon. Her face was a mixture of confusion and shock as she backed against the door. "Nate?" His name fell from her lips like a whisper. "Hey, little Howard." His smirk reminded her of a shark as he brushed past her and into the house. "You can't just come in." Victoria began to babble now as her heart pounded in her ears. Her bright eyes looked around before she stepped into the house with the monster that was Nate Jacobs.
"No?" His voice was full of humour as he watched Victoria try and hide how nervous the whole situation was making her. Victoria fought against the gulp as her eyes wandered towards her phone settled neatly on the coffee table. Thankfully, Nate seemed to be distracted and it allowed her to pocket her phone without giving anything away. "Cute." Nate nearly purred as his eyes wandered her body. Victoria tightened her dressing gown around herself, which didn't help anything but made her feel better.
"Why are you here Nate?" Victoria pushed the words out; high on adrenaline as she clenched her hand behind her back. Her nails digging into her soft skin on top of half crescent scars. "I can't visit?" Nate answered the question with a question as he stepped closer; towering over Victoria as easily as he did everyone else. "Cassie isn't here." Victoria whispered; revealing what she already knew as she stared into his eyes with strength she didn't realise she possessed. "Hmm, nothing gets past you." He whispered as if complimenting her.
Victoria's eyes narrowed as she moved to the side and tried to put as much space between him and her as possible. "I think you should go." She whispered up at him. "I just want to talk, Victoria." Nate began and allowed her to move whilst he made himself at home on one of her chairs. His eyes moving over the book she had on the go, "Clever too. Can you be anymore perfect?" Nate lounged in the seat as his eyes locked onto hers.
"I'm not perfect." Victoria snapped back; digging her nails into her palm once more as her heart only raced quicker. "Near enough. More than anyone in this town." Nate leaned forward before nodding his head to the sofa in front of him. "Sit, we have much to discuss." Victoria didn't move as she began to chew on her bottom lip. "Victoria, you wouldn't want something to happen to your little boyfriend, would you?" His voice turned darker and fear ripped through the brown-haired girl and she sat as he instructed.
