The silence wrapping around the pair was tense and thick

The silence wrapping around the pair was tense and thick. Victoria could only stare into those blue eyes she always got lost in. She began to play with her fingers as her eyes found the mess at her feet. "Oh, I don't...maybe Cassie brought it in." Victoria couldn't stop her babbling as she moved to the floor; her bare hands about to scoop the glass.

"Nah, ma." Fez moved around the table and got on his knees; his hands grabbing hers gently. "You'll hurt yourself." He cooed and pressed a soft kiss to her hands before beginning to pick up the glass. "So will you," Victoria pouted as she still stayed close to him and decided on picking up the food. "I'm sorry about that." She began to babble.

Fezco's eyes were still so soft even if his mind was racing a mile a minute. "What's going on?" He finally asked whilst placing the broken glass safely away. "What do you mean?" Victoria answered with question; her usual habit when hiding something, which didn't go amiss by Fez who tried to keep his emotions in check but the lying was harder to take from her.

"What's wrong?" He gently asked; the conversation he'd had with Ash only a few hours ago pushing to the front of his mind. Victoria tried to keep her heart in check as she tried to collect her thoughts. "Is something going on with Nate?" He finally asked the question that had been giving him more headaches than usual.
"What, no! Of course not." Her babbling had returned as her eyes widened; the precious girl in front of him was terrible at lying which seemed to be in his favour right now.

Fez only raised an eyebrow at her as he tried to keep the rising sadness from ruining them. The idea that she was lying had him all sorts of confused but he knew Victoria didn't have a bad bone in her body. It was the only reason he wasn't bombarding her with questions he needed answering. "Victoria," He gently stepped closer and cupped her face.

She could only loose herself in those eyes as the stressful moments that had happened too quickly for her to really process came rushing through her. Her eyes began to water and Victoria found comfort in his chest as she wrapped her arms around him. "Don't leave me." She whimpered out.

"I'll never leave you." Fez promised; his face screwing up in confusion as he tried to make sense of the situation in front of him. His fingers gently moved her tears from her face as he peppered her face with soft kisses. Their noses brushed together as he rested his head against her forehead. "Tell me what's happened." He purred into her ear with his hands moving through her hair; an action he knew had her more reliable to speak.

Victoria hated herself for being so weak as the panic that had been rising inside her began to melt away by his touch. She still ducked her head in shame for lying to him. "I..I can't." Victoria whimpered as she thought back to the threats Nate had given her. The fear growing quickly even if Fezco's presence allowed her some peace.

"Baby," His tone was soft but he could feel anger beginning to course through him at the idea of someone scaring her so much. "Please.." Fez cooed into her ear and reached for her hands to gently play with. "It is Nate." Victoria finally admitted as her heart seemed to calm but her eyes wandered in slight fear of the man being named.

"What about him?" His voice was colder than usual but his touch was still as soft as ever as Fez manoeuvred them both to the chair with Victoria on his lap. The food around them forgotten about. Fez knew not to push her as he placed a lock of her hair around Victoria's ear and stroked the back of her neck.
He noticed the bruises and his eyes narrowed. "He was here?" The question fell from his lips without thought. Victoria nodded; half glad Fez was guessing right instead of her having to explain everything.

"Yes..and at the party." The words tumbled out of her now. Victoria was never good at holding anything in, especially from Fez. She was lucky to have done so for this long. "The bruise on your wrist?" Fez asked slowly as his fingers moved over the still coloured bruise. The lies were only piling up and it had Victoria's panic rising.

"I'm sorry," It was the only words Victoria could whisper out as she burrowed into his neck; feeling that much safer in his presence. "He's been watching you. Threatening you." She began to babble now without any sign of stopping before Fez gently shushed her and cupped her face once more. "Shh, you don't have to worry about that anymore." Victoria tried to believe his words but all she could do was chew nervously on her bottom lip.

"But I do." She nearly whined and if it was any other situation, Fez would of pushed her onto the table but he cleared his thoughts and placed his fingers through her hair. "You don't, ma. Not with me. We can handle it." He whispered into her ear and began to press kisses to her soft neck; sucking and distracting her from responding.

The argument Victoria had was lost to her now as she took solace in his embrace. "You aren't mad at me?" She whispered with fear in her heart as she moved her fingers over his shaved head and scar. "No, ma. Never." Fez promised her truthfully as he locked eyes with his love before moving in for another kiss.

The action kept him at bay as his mind swirled with ideas of revenge; only growing darker in time as his hands moved to Victoria's arse and pulled her closer. He wouldn't let her go and now he had the perfect excuse to keep secrets too; for her benefit and safety, of course.
