Lia POV
"What did you want to talk about?.." I said, I was standing at a good distance away from him. My heart was pounding because I was scared, "Just wanted to apologize..please sit.." he answered.
I grabbed a chair and sat down, but I didn't sit close to him. I made sure my chair was farther than it should be. I had to keep my distance from him. Before I left Taeyong gave me a pep talk on how Jungkook may or may not act.
>EARLIER<
"Kang Lia, you are about to see your toxic, unstable, psycho ex boyfriend. Who also murdered your blood brothers, here are some ways to protect yourself or make sure that you are not being manipulated." He said, I was just sitting down on his couch, tired. Taeyong pulled out a whiteboard from nowhere and began explaining more things to me.
"If he starts apologizing out of no where, LEAVE! If he starts crying, LEAVE! If he starts the conversation with "would you like a drink?" SAY NO! If he grabs your hands....L. E. A. V. E. LEAVE!" Taeyong said, he just kept on going on about the things he might possibly say or do and telling me to leave if he does any of those things.
"Tyong, I think... I think, I know what to do after everything that happened.." I said, Taeyong stopped before he was going to say another thing and sighed, "I just want you to be safe.." he said as he rubbed his eyes.
"Don't worry, I have my location on with you. So if I don't come back you know why, and you'll be able to find me. Now I have to go." I said, he gave me a tight hug, "Be safe..." he said, I hugged him back and left.
>PRESENT TIME<
"Lia I-" Jungkook said, I interrupted him because I already knew he was going to sorry repeatedly, "Don't say sorry, you ruined my life. The two people I cared for the most are no longer in this world because of your doing. The way I can't tell my mom anything because YOU threatened to do something to her, not only that but you tried to shoot another person that I cared for at my moms wedding all because you couldn't handle leaving me."
"What do you have to say for yourself other than you're sorry because it obviously doesn't seem as if you're sorry if you're doing this. I really thought that you changed when you came back, but that was only an act to get me back and make me miserable." I continued, he looked at me with pleading eyes but then looked away. He reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a box /'d placed it on the table. I looked at the box and looked back at him, I raised an eyebrow and he put the box closer to me.
"What is that?" I asked him, "Open it and you'll see.." he responded, I grabbed the box and slowly opened it. There were rings inside of it, I was so confused as to why he would give these to me. They're not even my ring size..
"Those are the things that your brothers had on when they died, I had collected them and kept them with me so you could stay with me longer. So I basically holding the rings hostage.. But then it didn't feel right to do that.." he said, my eyes began to water as I looked back at the rings, "So I wanted to return them because like you said, I was the one who killed them in cold and psychotic blood. I know that I've hurt you for so many years, I know that you don't forgive me now. I wanted to see if we can just stay as friends but I don't think that's possible any more." He continued.
Tears began streaming down my face, I began to remember these rings because all of these were matching rings between the three of us. We would always get them resized when we no longer fit into them, but when I got kicked out I lost my set of the rings so that's why I didn't recognize them immediately..
After a few moments of crying, I finally calmed down and collected myself. I looked at him then looked away, "..thank you..." I said quietly without making eye contact, "..thank you for returning these..." I continued, Jungkook did a slight nod and took a sip of his coffee
