Chapter 7

Kirishima's Pov:

Bakugou and I made it home, he wasn't speaking much.

When we got inside the building, I remembered to check on Mina.

I kiss him and say softly, "Go ahead and go to my room. I'll meet you there, okay?"

Bakugou nods and doesn't argue as he walks towards the stairs.

I head the opposite way and head to Mina's room.

When I got to her door, I honestly wondered if she was asleep already, but I knocked anyways.

It was silent for a few moments, and I turned to leave when I heard a muffled,

"Who is it?"

I smile and say, "It's Ei."

I hear footsteps and then the door unlocking before it revealed a very distraught Mina.

My face loses the happy look as I move towards her, saying,

"Mina.. What?"

But she shakes her head and pulls me in her door, before wrapping her arms around me, her face buried into my neck as she sobs.

I sink down in front of the door with her as I panic.

I don't remember if anything happened.

I whisper comforting things to her, and hold her close.

Mina was one of the strongest women I've ever met.

She's the rock that holds us together.

I lay my head on hers and sigh, whispering, "What happened?"

She shakes her head weakly and doesn't move her face out of my neck.

I rub her back, letting her take her time.

She finally lifts her head again, her eyes swollen and puffy.

She gives me a shaky smile and says, "Thank you."

She wipes her eyes, as tears swelled out of them,

"Thank you so much, Ei."

I frown and say, "I haven't done anything-"

But she covers my mouth and chuckles sadly as she says,

"Yeah, you did."

I stare at her, seeing her like this broke my heart. "You helped me a lot, Ei."

She removes her hand and moves away from me.

She gets up shakily, and I follow after.

She takes a few deep breaths and wipes her face before saying,

"I'm okay now, I just.."

She looks off to the side, and shakes her head, her lip trembling.

She wipes her nose and says,

"Just, thank you for texting me. And for coming to check up, you know? You're so sweet."

I smile half halfheartedly as I hug her again, she giggles slightly, hugging me back.

Then she says, "You need to go to bed, I'm sure Kat is waiting."

I nod and say, "I hope everything is better tomorrow, Mina."

She nods, not meeting my eyes as she says,

"Yeah."

I finally leave and head back towards my room.
