"Kayla wake up! You're going to be late for school!" My dad yelled.
"Coming!" I responded as I quickly got dressed into a tank top and shorts.
Hi I'm Kayla Baker. I'm 15 years old and I'm turning 16 in a few weeks. I live in Maui with my dad and I go to Maui High. My best friends are Natalie(Nat), Michelle, Brandon, and Jake. We are all sophomores and today is the last day of school. I am so excited for summer. We are all going to hang at the beach and surf like always. It's going to be awesome.
Later at school
"Hey Kayla you wanna hit the beach after school today? The waves are supposed to be huge." Brandon asks me as we walk to class.
"Sure! Are Nat, Michelle, and Jake going too?"
"Well duh!"
"Sounds awesome!"
After school
Nat and Michelle came over to my house after school and we got ready to go to the beach. We put on our bikinis and walked to the beach.

Brandon and Jake were already there cleaning their boards. Brandon looks so hot. Shut up Kayla you can't think that he's one of your best friends and he would never like me like that.
We grab our boards and head to the waves. They are huge today! We surf for a few hours and then decide to stop.
"Let's go get some ice cream!" Jake suggests. We all agree so we head down to Bob's Yogurt Shop and get ice cream. We all get cotton candy and we go back to the beach to watch the sunset. While we are watching the sun set Brandon's hand brushes up against mine and we hold hands for a second but then he pulls away slowly.
"Umm I better go." Brandon says.
"Me too." Jake adds and then they leave.
"Well that was odd." Nat says.
"Ya it was. Do you guys want to spend the night at my house?" I ask the girls.
"Sure!" Michelle responds.
"Sounds good to me!" Nat adds and we head to my house. When we get there my dad still isn't home which doesn't surprise me because he has been working late lately. So we head up to my room and watch a movie. When the movie is over we decide to talk about boys.
"Who do you like?" Nat asks me.
