Doc stormed down the hall, dragging two girls with her. Her ability was activated, making her look darker and surrounded by red eyes. The girls she was dragging were Blaire and Iselle.

Sh*t. We're so screwed...

"HOW DARE YOU CAUSE SO MUCH RACKET WHILE CLASSES ARE STILL GOING! I'M SENDING YOU TWO STRAIGHT TO KIANA AFTER THIS!"

"Look Doc, I was just minding my own business, studying, then SHE comes over and punches me!"

"REALLY, Blaire? You KNOW that wouldn't have have happened if you hadn't broken my pen!"

"IT WAS THE MOST USELESS PART OF THE PEN!"

"I DON'T CARE, DON'T TOUCH MY STUFF!"

Doc loomed up behind them and smashed their heads together. "Shut up. It doesn't matter who started the fight. I just want you two to understand that your actions have conseq-"

Stone Girl dragged herself into the room. "Doc..."

Doc glanced over at the bed, the bed Jane was supposed to be in.

Today was a really bad day.

                                                                                         _____

"Of all things, you threw her out a window?"

"Well, it's not like I had- HEY! THAT'S NOT FUNNY! I COULD'VE BEEN KILLED!"

Jane and Seraphinus were sitting in a booth in Woaba Boba, a boba shop. Seraphinus was giggling as Jane glared at him. 'I could've died!"

"You always say that." Seraphinus pointed out. "yet here you are again. Still in one piece."

Jane frowned. "But that's not the point.''

"Come on, it's gotta be at least a little bit exciting!" Seraphinus protested. "Living on the edge seems so fun!"

Jane sighed. "Not at all, I just really want a moment of peace. Right now, every little conflict turns out into a full out brawl. I can't do anything without fearing for my life! Why does the world have to be so violent? What's wrong with talking things out with each other?"

"Because it's a waste of time." Seraphinus said. "There's no need to argue with a weakling just to prove a point."

"Because you can overpower them? The stronger person isn't always right, you know! To have to use force to back up your claim... it's pathetic!"

Seraphinus stared. "What are you implying?"

Jane suddenly realized that Seraphinus was a high tier and also used to use force to back up his opinion.

"Ah... I didn't mean you specifically! Just high tiers in general!"

Seraphinus turned his head away, completely ignoring Jane.

Seraphinus was born strong, so he doesn't understand what people like me have to go through every day.

"-Presense" Said the TV. Jane and Seraphinus both turned to look. "EMBER has been leaving a trail of bodies, the most recent one being in Lovun. In an alley, near the intersection of Rokel and Acres Street. Investigators have identified the body as the well known vigilante X-Static. No further personal information was given. The victim's body as covered with second-degree burns and multiple stab wounds. And like all other EMBER victims, a very prominent brand of its logo marked on the corpse."

People began to whisper.

"Lovun? That's the next town over! Could ember be heading here?"

"Puh! X-Static... how useless!"

"Hm..." Said Seraphinus. "And yet another self-proclaimed 'Superhero' falls victim to the consequences of every day society... people need to learn to mind their own business, especially if they don't have the power to back it up."

"But she was trying to keep us safe!" Protested Jane.

Seraphinus took a big sip of his boba. "Do you feel safer... now that she's dead?"
