Ian Hecox
Everything around us vanished as soon as I pressed the button and the next thing I knew is that we were traveling through a wormhole that would send us to the future. The feeling of excitement and anger mixed inside me, angry that my own brother had caused all of this mess and excited because of what's waiting for us at the end of this wild adventure...
We just wanna go home.
I blinked my eyes, the wormhole turned into a sidewalk and my feet were able to feel the solid concrete ground again. Hopefully this would be the last time we would go through time because those swirly wormholes are making me dizzy.
I brought up my watch: November 24, 2014; 3PM, exactly one week before the great battle of Smosh and the date Sgt. Anous said that Adrian will take over the company.
We walked to a park trying to find our way to the building. "We gotta move quickly and stop Adrian." I ran.
Then I noticed that my best friend was limping behind us, skipping because of his knee injury.
I stopped running.
"Dude, why did we stop?" He asked while he leaned on a tree and concealing his wound with his hand.
I saw the large gash near his knee that exposed the burnt flesh, "We shouldn't have taken you with us," I helped him sit on the park bench, "—look at you, you don't look alright."
"What are you talking about? I'm fine." Anthony tried standing up then groaned, he clutched his wound.
"I don't think you're fine." I said before helping him sit down on a park bench, "You've had enough, you should stay here."
"There's no way I'm staying here." He protested.
"Why?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Look around you, Ian." He said and I looked around, there were teenage girls staring at us and whispering something to their friends. They were everywhere, scattered around the park and slowly closing in on us like a pack of hyenas.
"Fangirls." I whispered. Everything went quiet, we could only hear the soft rustling of leaves and their footsteps growing closer, "Okay, slowly put your arms on my back and we run from them."
"What's the matter? They look harmless." My mom said.
"That's what they want you to think." I mumbled as we stayed quiet. Anthony placed his arm around my shoulder and I helped him stand up, "When I say we run, we run." I whispered to the two and they agreed.
"RUN!" We ran with my best friend hanging on our shoulders who was limping.
Then the fangirls squealed and gave chase, "IAN! ANTHONY!" They yelled, trying to catch up with us. We struggled to drag Anthony but his weight was slowing us down. I glanced back, the fangirls were going crazy that one of them even had foam coming out of her mouth like a rabid dog.
"Jeez! That's scary!" Anthony shrieked, struggling to keep up with our pace.
Across the street was Alloy Digital, but the only way to get there is going across the wide road of busy cars. The stop light for the pedestrian was red.
"WE'RE NOT GONNA MAKE IT!" Anthony panicked and the girls were gaining on us screaming our names and saying, 'HAVE OUR BABIES!'
"Yeah we can." I aimed my glove at the button that was for the pedestrian crossing and shot an arrow. It was a bullseye, hitting the button and making the cars stop and clearing a path for us to cross the road.
