FIVE MONTHS LATER
"Ah, I'm not feeling good today, my head hurts." You whispered as you fix your uniform. Baji will be there any minute now and you don't want him to wait while preparing for school, that's why you woke up early to get dressed. Until now he's still persistent in making you fall for him and it's been months. The patience of that cat towards you is super long.
Even though you and Baji's attitudes clash every time you both open your mouths, you can't deny that it's nice to have someone around. Someone to talk to and someone to eat your meal with, but you're trying your best not to let your guard down because you're afraid that if you get attached to him, you will be hurt in the end.
You heard a knock on your door and went there to open them. "Morning." You greeted. Baji looked at you for a while before he greeted you back. He's used to your words: you again?, leave me alone, I can eat on my own but this time you just greeted him with a simple morning.
"Hey."
You ignored him and turned your back before walking inside your room. Baji followed you, confused about why you have low energy.
"Hey, are you okay? You look tired." He asked.
"Ah, I'm good. I just... I slept late last night because of homework."
"You're pushing yourself to balance work and studies, y/n. I told you that I can support you. Just come live with me and I will treat you like a princess... A queen even!"
"I don't want to talk about that Baji. I can live on my own."
"But you don't look ok—"
"I'm fine, please." Your voice raised a little and it surprised you too. You quickly look at Baji and saw him look down. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to shout."
Baji walked close and patted your head. He then proceeds to put the breakfast on your table. You felt guilty for lashing out at him when all he did was help you in the best way he could.
but living with a man that I don't even love... isn't that too much?
After breakfast, you walk to school together like normal but without fighting. Baji didn't say anything throughout the walk. Your head hurts so much that you couldn't think of a proper conversation with him.
"Morning kei-chan, y/n!" Chifuyu greeted you as you and Baji entered the room.
"Shut up, Chifuyu."
"Morning," You greeted Chifuyu.
You both walked in the opposite direction, making Chifuyu tilt his head to the side. He then rubbed his chin like he was trying to analyze what happened.
"Looks like you woke up at the wrong side of the bed today, Baji," Chifuyu said but Baji, being Baji... he just clicked his tongue instead of answering his cousin. He rested his head on his palm and watched the view from the big window.
You, on the other hand, open your notes as you try to study. This is the only chance you have to review for the upcoming exam because later, you will be occupied by your part-time job.
"You're sweating, y/n. are you okay?" Chifuyu asked. You looked at him and smiled, assuring him that everything was okay.
"I'm good. I just need to review some notes before the class starts."
"Okay, but if you need help... Me, Baji and—" He paused to look at Kazutora. He's flirting as usual but this time to a senpai who visited him. "Not that one..." He looked back at you. "Me and Baji can help you."
