As (y/n) had left and ash sat down watching his cartoons, Connor was still calibrating and restarting his systems. Of course, when Ash turned to look at Connor, he saw the coin flickering fast between Connors's hands. As he stared at it, his LED ran in yellow circles. Ash jumped from the couch, his chocolate curly hair bouncing as his feet landed on the wooden floors.
His little feet pattered over to stand in front of Connor. He looked up at Connor with his brown speckles (e/c) eyes. Connor had returned to his normal LED and held his quarter in his hand as he looked down at ash. Ash stared at Connors hand that hid the quarter from his sight. Connor looked at what ash was staring at. "Do you need something, Ashton?" Connor asked. Ash just looked up at him and had a light smile. " Could you call me Ash, Ashton is too boring, ..." ash explained as he rocked on the pads of his feet. " Oh, and do you want to see a magic trick?" He asked. Connor stared at ash, "Of course ash, though you do understand, as a machine, my reactions are not real, yes?" Ash tilted his head and then shook it," Mama says that Androids are people too, it doesn't matter it they're built or grew from a baby, we all have hearts." Ash says as he walked back into the living area. Connor was processing what ash had said. His normal error came once more, he really needs to get that checked out. He set a reminder in his systems.
Ash grabbed his tall black hat and the cape his mom got him. He loved that she supported him. He knew he could talk to her about anything. She always said if it was in her ability, she would do it for him... As he grabbed a stack of cards from his magical suitcase, Connor sat on the couch staring at him. "Oh! And no doing you cyberish stuff either! It has to be magical! No analising? analiting? That stuff that lets you know everything!". Ash said as he puffed his cheeks out at him. Connor nodded at the boy as he flipped his analysis feature off for a short amount of time for the small child. Ash smiled ear to ear as he took the small deck of cards in his hand and spread them between his tiny, skinny fingers. He couldn't hold them all, but he tried. He turned them all on their back and shuffled them. "Now pick a card! " He told him as he laid them spread out in his hands, face down. Connor looked at the kid before looking down at the cards. Connor placed his finger on the 13th card from the left in the boy's hand. Ash smiled as he fully closed the stack back up and into the card box. "Now as you can see there fully straight stack in the box, now ima shuffle them!". Ash took them back out and shuffled them, a few falling on the floor as he had his little tongue out concentrating. Connor looked at the boy, he couldn't help but 'accidentally' analyzing the boy's trick. His eyes picking up the sleight of hand the boy attempted by shuffling. Ash smiling once he placed the stack together after shuffling face down. He looked up at Conner with a huge grin. "Ishhhhhhhhh This your card!?" Ash held up the queen of hearts. Connor looked at the card. It was not his original card, yet he somehow felt compelled to lie. Two options popped into his HUD. A. Lie about the Chosen card, B. Tell the truth. Connor analyzed the situation. There was an 89.99% chance of Sadness if he was honest, yet a 99.89% chance of happiness if he lied. Connor chose option A." That is the card that I had originally chosen" Connor replied. Ash started to jump up and down happy, his trick 'Worked'. "Yay! I did it!!!. Ash cheered.
Connor watched the boy closely, his LED span a dark blue as the recent message problem popped up again. 'Software Instability ▲'. He really needed to schedule an appointment about that. Connor rose from the sofa, as the child plopped on the carpet after his victory and was watching blues clue that had come up on the kids channel. He walked away from the living room and towards the office as he was reminded of his original task at hand. He grabbed the door knob and creaked open the professional room. Upon first inspection, the room was slightly cluttered, with many books and papers spread across the furniture in the room. He flicked the lights on for a clearer view.
