When i opened my eyes in the morning something was off, It was the light. For once it was not terribly bright, in fact it was quite dark out. Grey clouds covered the the always shining sun. It had yet to rain since I had been LA, but the poor weather was not the reason i was dreading today, it was the fact i had to get up so painfully early and catch the bus.
My mother had left for work before i made it to the kitchen. In a lot of ways, living with my mom was like having my own place, and i did enjoy being alone but i always felt lonely. I made myself a quick bowl of cereal and i large glass of orange juice. I was quiet nervous to go to school although i did not show it, I did not want to run into Anthony and his friends again. I went back to my room and packed a tote bag with what ever could be used as school supplies, I also grabbed a book i had swiped from my mom.
I stood at the corner of the street, earbuds in waiting for the bus. I was the only one there, but not long after two familiar faces showed up, it was the step siblings. They walked over backs straight as a board and there hair nearly perfect. They did not say a word so i decided to stay quiet. the awkward tension was broken when the bus showed up. When i got on i noticed there was no one else on the bus we must be the first stop i though to myself. I headed straight to the back and took the very last seat. I placed my bag next to me hoping no one would sit next to me. After a little while the bus headed into Theos neighborhood. When the bus finally arrived i noticed Theo was not there which i was bummed out about, but Anthony and his friends that beat up me and Theo where there. i put my head down hoping they would not approach me, and they didn't which i was very glad about.
After what seemed like forever we reached what i hoped would be the last stop. When the bus did finally stop i looked out the window and saw a boy doing a stupid dance. I could not help but laugh, but then noticed it was Kenny. He must not have noticed the bus cause he was still stood there dancing. The bus driver was done waiting so she honked the horn. Kenny looked up with both a shocked and embarrassed look on his face. He quickly got on the bus. He looked very lost but then saw me and quickly made his way over to me, but before he could reach me he was stopped by Anthony and his friends. "nice moves new kid, what do you call that the loser limbo?" The blonde one said laughing "no i think its called the I'm trying not to shit my pants dance." Anthony sad with a smug grin on his face. Kenny finally got past them picked my bag up, and sat down next to me.
When we got there everyone started to go to there first period class. i headed towards the office to get my schedule ."Hello there dear, how may i help you?" an older women said. "I need my schedule." I responded. She nodded and asked for my name, i told her and she printed out a piece of paper and highlighted a few things. "The ones highlighted are the classes you have today, and the not highlighted ones you have tomorrow" She spoke. "Do you have any questions?" The women asked. I shook my head. My first class was year book then i had science and a creative writing after that i had lunch two then PE. Tomorrow I have Math, English, Lunch One, History, and endangered plants and animals.
(Time skip lunch.)
When i made it to the lunch room i had not seen any of my friends actually i had seen no one i recognized well no one except Anthony. I guess none of his friends had this lunch period either cause he was sitting by himself. I had no sympathy for him after he was such a dick to me and all my friends.
There where no empty tables so i walked towards an almost empty table with three boys. "Hey, can i sit here?" I asked "Sorry tables blowing up right now, i can put you on the waiting list but the earliest is probably next semester " one boy said in a sarcastic tone. I walked away annoyed by his joke. "I'm kidding sit" The same boy said. I really had no where else to sit so i sat down with the strange boys I set my food tray down. "I'm Demetri, this is Eli" He said gesturing to the boy sat next to him. "Y/n" i said with a small smile. We all sat there quietly for 20ish minuets. "You don't talk much do you?" Demetri asked "I don't know what there is to talk about." I said in an awkward tone.
Finally the bell rang and i could escape that uncomfortable mess. I made my way towards the bathroom planning on skipping gym. I sat in the stall closest to the exit. A few minutes later i heard two girls came running in giggling and a stall door closing. "Are you sure no ones in here?" A girl with a very high pitched voice asked. "Yeah there is no one in here" The other said. Then i heard a lighter. The girls in the stall next to me where smoking. I did not really mind and grabbed my phone and plugged in my ear buds. I turned on (F/S)(Fav show). But it was soon interrupted by the girl next to her coughing. Her cough was so loud i was sure one of the hall monitors would come and check on them. As i suspected a lady came walking into the restroom. "You all need to head to class". She said in an assertive tone. I just ignored her and continued watching my show. "All of you". She repeated impatiently I decided to obey her orders and leave.
Once i made it to the gym there where a few boys playing basketball, and others just sitting on the bleachers. I walked into the gym and sat on the bleachers. The coach had not noticed me yet but I'm sure he will soon. I was the only one not in gym cloths. I made it over to the bleachers and sat next to Theo. "Hey" I said in almost a whisper. He turned his head to face me surprised. "oh hey why are you so late?" he asked. I told him all about my failed attempt to skip. He laughed and told me about how Kenny's crush started talking to him after many years of ignoring him.
I was watching Kenny play when he went to block Anthony's shot. Although he was successful at blocking the shot, he hit the ball into Anthony's face making him fall over. It was quite funny and i let out a small laugh and turned back to face Theo. I heard Anthony and his friend talking about some lame karate thing.
