"I haven't talked to Kenny since last summer, I mean its not like we hate each other. We just drifted apart i guess.... I got a job too, at this little restaurant, Ms. Kimm is nice enough but i mean-" "Who is Ms. Kimm?" Theodore asked "Oh have i really not told you about Ms. Kimm?" I asked. Theodore just responded with a little hum. "Oh well she owns the restaurant, and her daughter Lee works there she's cool, Oh and there is Dave he is always-" But before i could finish my sentence Theo's girlfriend Marcela sat down across from me on Theos left. I flashed an awkward smile and waved towards her. "Hey" Theo whispered into Marcela's ear. "Are you ready to go to the movies?" Theo asked. His girlfriend nodded and i said "Oooo we are going to the movies, what movie are we seeing?" "Oh actually it.... was just gonna be me and Marcela" He said "But i mean you can come too if you want" He said earning a disapproving glance from Marcela. "Oh no its okay you too have fun." I said trying to cover up my disappointment. As Theo and Marcela were leaving, Theo asked me "We are still going to the water park tomorrow" "Yep" I said trying to sound enthusiastic.
On the walk home the wind dirtied my hair, and the crunch could be heard from the crumbling of the leaves under my boots. When i finally got home i dropped my coat on my bed and pulled my light up boobie lighter, out from underneath my mattress along with a pack of Marlboro cigarettes i snatched from Ms. Kimm, and lit the cigarette i placed in-between my lips. When my hamburger phone started ringing. "Hey, whatcha doing" Lee screamed from the other side of the phone. "Nothing much" I said curling the phones cord around my finger. "Well wanna come over my grams bought scrabble" Lee responded enthusiastically. "Sure" I responded even though i did not particularly want to go, but i mean i had nothing else to do
When i finally got there it was probably around 8ish, we played scrabble, and painted each others nails.
