Today was the day i was going to Theo's. His parents had invited me over for dinner as well as stay the night. It was my first time staying over at a friends house. You see back in Washington i was not completely friendless but i did not really have a close bond with anyone. I know this may seem sad but in all my 16 years of life i had mostly been lonely. I did not have a close relationship with my dad and he left my mother after an affair when i was only three. so i did not have a good relationship with them either of my parents. Of course i has visited them many times in the 13 years i had lived with my dad. But every time i would visit they mostly ignored me. So i was not sure how this whole thing would go. I still had many hours until i had to leave and not so many ideas. So i jumped in bed and though of some ideas. After laying in bed for who knows how long. It came to me I had never played Dungeons and Dragons or even heard of it. So maybe i could do some research so i would not look like a complete fool.

It was pointless. D&D was so confusing there where different editions rules, and much more. I had waisted over an hour of my life to just become even more confused.
I had decided to go on a walk take my mind off things. I grabbed my phone and a few other things like my wallet and stuffed it into a tote bag. I grabbed my skate board and left. I headed towards to the skate park. I passed a few streets all having similar features. When i finally arrived it was mostly empty except for one familiar face. Kenny, he was sitting under a tree by himself. In his hands where some sort of cards. My plans for skating changed when Kenny waved me over. When i approached he gestured for me to sit down in the grass with him.
(Time skip 3 hours)
The time flew by. Kenny and I had talked about all sorts of things. He had told me lots about Dungeons and Dragons and other games he played. We had bonded quite a bit in the three hours i had spent with him. He told me all about his brother and this karate thing he was doing. But i had to leave if i wanted to be at Theos on time.
Once i made it home i took a quick shower. After i put on some fresh clothes. I wore a pair of denim jeans, a red and brown top, with a brown leather jacket layered over it. I put on a little bit of make up and jewelry.

Then i departed. I was more than half way there with 15 ish minutes until I needed to be there. The rest of the walk would probably only be around 5 minutes so stopped a corner store. inside it was mostly empty only a young teenage boy stood behind the counter. His face was covered in acne and his hair was unkept. I walked deeper into the small store towards the ICEE machine. I reached for the largest size cup they had and filled it up with blue raspberry ICEE. I swiftly made my may to the counter and set the drink down on the table. I pulled out my wallet. It had cats floating in outer space on it. I took out a 5 dollar bill and payed the boy. He handed me back my change.
It was almost time for me to be at Theos house and i was still a little ways away so i picked up the pace and basically ran down the street until i reached a very prosperous neighborhood. I did not expect Theo to live in such a nice part of town considering he always hung out in the not so nice parts. I passed by the basket ball courts and none other than Anthony and his friends where playing. I quickly made my way past them not wanting to draw any attention. sadly that plan did not exactly work out. "Hey" one of the kids called out in an annoying tone. I tried to ignore them and walk away but Anthony stopped me before i could. "Hey i never got your name" Anthony said. "y/n" I responded trying to walk past him. But he blocked me again "sounds like a dead cats name" he said. Instead of responding i just walked right past him. This time he did not stop me instead he just said "You know its not nice to walk away from someone when there talking to you." I ignored him once again and continued down the street.
Finally i had arrived at Theos house......
