Hello, so just a quick note. Please comment and tell me your thoughts. If you think something needs changing or fixed just drop a comment and I will give it a look.

As time goes by, the figure from my balcony drifts to the back of my mind and I forget about it. Ethan and I have only hung out at school as I'm too shy too invite him over. Truth is, I think I like him, but my limited people skills make me overly insecure  and impotent to be able to decifer whether or not he likes me also.
One month since moving in.

I scream as I wake up from one of my reoccurring nightmares that have plagued me since I hit puberty. I jump up in my bed and disentangle myself from my sheets and blanket. My body is coated in sweat.

I glance at my alarm clock which is sitting on my bedside table. I groan as I see the luminous numbers read 3:17 A.M..

I try to go back to sleep but my overactive brain decides to make a monster of all the shadows. I decide that a shower sounds amazing.

As I get up I strip my night gown off as it is sticking to my skin. Just as I throw it into my dirty clothes hamper I turn to the window.

I freeze mid-step as I see the figure on the balcony. Once again, I am so petrified that I can't move, I can't even blink. I just stare in fear at the man. I have no idea what to do. I try walking but my brain just can't seem to make my legs move, or make my vocal cords work.

Then, just as suddenly as he appeared, he vanishes, literally just, poof, gone. As soon as my brain comprehends that he is gone, I collapse.

Once I can stand again, I walk to the balcony doors, double check the lock and look out to see a full moon, shining right into my room. I gasp at the sight. It's amazing. The moon is huge and illuminates the sky, and all around the moon are the stars, twinkling down at me. I shake my head and close the thick curtains. Blocking out my view.

I walk into my bathroom and start the shower. I just begin to realize that I am shaking terribly. Once the shower warms up, I jump in and don't get out for over an hour. When I finally decide to get out of the shower I am wide awake. I give up any thought of falling back asleep and decide to get read for school. I decide to actually put some effort into my outfit today so I take time to coordinate my outfit. I decide on wearing white skinny jeans, and a pale green fitted T-shirt that showes off my curves well. Next I grab a pair of black boots with a 2 inch heel, that lace up and go up to just below my knee. Next I start working with my mess of hair. After ten minutes of brushing, my hair is untangled and shining. It takes me another five minutes to work it into a tight and secure ponytail and tame the fly-aways. After I'm confident that my hair will stay, I turn my attention to my face. This will be the biggest challenge. I start with my eyes. I add a dark gray eye shadow to the base of my eyelid, then fade it to a pale green and then pearlly white. After that I add eyeliner on the bottomlid, not bothering with the top. Finally I put on my mascara and curl my eyelashes. I put on a bright red lipstick, then tone it down by putting a light pink sparkly gloss over it. I glance at myself in the floor to cieling mirror. I decide that I aprove and glance at the time. Its 6:30. Time for me to go. I plan to be early to school today.

I run down to the kitchen and grab a protien shake from the fridge. Then I get my book bag and head out the door. I open the door to my pick-up and throw my bags into the passenger seat and climb in. I turn the keys and the pickup makes a few noises resembling grunting and then goes quiet. No, NO, NO. Not happening. Come on baby, please work. I mutter to myself.

After thirty minutes of trying to start it and figure out what's wrong, I decide to give up. That leaves me without a way to school, and of course my parents are gone away on a trip.
Ethan! I can just call Ethan!

I find his contact in my phone and hit call.

" Hello, Ethan?" I say

" Hey, Gorgeous. What's up?"

" Ugh. I told you not to call me that! Anyways, I need a ride to school. My pick-up has decided to die on me."

"Haha, okay. I will be there in ten... Gorgeous." 'click' he hangs up.

I sigh and lean against my pick-up. I am seriously starting to think I should just stay home today. Bad start to the day. I can only assume the rest of the day will be the same.

"Hello, Gorgeous, you look fantastic. Hop on." I hear Ethan say.

"Oh. My. Gawd... Epic." I stare in shock at Ethan, sitting on a Harley Davidson. It's has an amazing blue and green flame paint job. I'm in awe at the beauty of this bike.

"Like it?" Ethan inquires as he hands me a helmet.

"Hell. Fucking. Yes." I exclaim. "I really don't feel like school today. What do you say? Skip?"

Ethan laughs. "What happened to innocent Melody?"

"She got sick of life. She is tired. She just needs a day off."

"Haha, I like this new Melody. Hop on. And hold on tight." I can barely hear him over the roar of the engine. I circle my hands around his stomach. I get slightly jittery, even through his jacket and shirt, I can feel his abs.

He accelerates and I feel the wind blowing around us. It's plenty warm even though it's the middle of February. He takes me through the city, until finally stopping at a small, welcoming cafe. He parks and I climb off.

"Breakfast?"

"Yes please." I say hungrily.

He grins and walks up to the door, holding it for me to pass through. I choose a window booth and he sits across from me. Within minutes a waitress shows up and takes our orders. I order a pile of chocolate chip pancakes, with vanilla syrup, and a cup of hot cocoa, along with bacon and strawberries.

Ethan order biscuits and gravy with eggs and a cup of coffee.

"So, I have an idea." Ethan states, while watching me curiously.

"What would that be?"

"How about we just get away for a while. My family owns a cabin in the mountains, by a lake. We even have a boat.. You said you wanted to get away, so... Let's." as he is speaking he grabs my hand and I see the boyish gleam in his eye. There is no way I can resist this boy, or a chance to disappear for a few days.

"That, sounds like an amazing idea. When can we leave?"

"Now. After we eat. We can go and pack a bag and just go for a few days. We are both great students and have all A's. Missing a few days won't kill us."

Just a couple hours later I find myself throwing a duffel bag in the back of Ethan' s pick-up. We decided that we should trade to the truck instead of the Harley.

I can't believe the feeling of freedom that comes to me as I watch the city disappear in the rear-view mirror.
