"Oh my shit." Diluc said in a hurry. He threw his coat over his shoulders and ran to the table next to his front door. The ribbon he usually wrapped his hair in was nowhere to be found. "Where the hell is it?"
He turned around and quickly scanned the room to see where he had left it, but couldn't find it. He was already late to your house and couldn't find any other ribbons or ties for his hair.
"For fuck's sake," He huffed, opening the door and slamming it shut quickly, his hair rising slightly from the sudden force. He quickly ran down the street busy with people, until he ran into someone.
"My apologies." He muttered, going around them.
"Diluc? My, it's been a while since the last time we spoke, ahaha! You're looking... the same as ever." A familiar voice spoke. It was the person he had just run into and just so happened to be Kaeya.
Diluc hardly spared him a glance before trying to get back on his way. Kaeya stopped him, though. Holding his arm, he continued, "Where are you heading in such a hurry? You don't have time to chat?"
"Never time for you, I'm afraid. And yes, if you must know, I am quite busy." Diluc grumbled. He started to cough, at which Kaeya pulled his arm away.
"Sick, hm? I'd rather not catch whatever germs you're carrying. Go on with your day." He cringed slightly then walked off.
Diluc scoffed. "When you were the one holding me back? Fuckin' hell." He muttered to himself. He swiftly made his way between people until he arrived at your house. You were sitting on your front porch steps waiting for him. Upon noticing him, you quickly stood up and walked towards him. Your eyes went slightly wide when you realized his hair was down.
"Mmm, what a delightful surprise." You smiled at that fact.
Diluc was panting, trying to catch his breath. "My... deepest apologies... Y/N." He sighed. "I got a bit... held up..."
"Your hair is down." You said outright.
Diluc was surprised by your bluntness. In fact, he'd actually forgotten that his hair was down until you said something. "That was... unintentional. I couldn't find my ribbon." He looked away, suddenly feeling self-conscious.
"Would you like to borrow one? I have a few inside that I've never used." You said, starting your way to the door.
He followed you. "That is... not necessary."
You led Diluc inside and closed the door behind him. "Oh, but I insist, Dee. As long as you're comfortable with it, of course."
Diluc was taking in your house. Despite you being friends since you were quite young, he had never actually been in your house. It was bright and warm, as he'd imagined in his dream. There was the slight smell of something sweet. Perhaps... honey?
"...Alright." He gave in.
"Okay! You can sit down wherever. I just have to go upstairs real quick." You said before disappearing.
He sat down on your sofa hesitantly. He could feel the petals in his lungs begin to stir, a coughing fit threatening to erupt. He tried to swallow them down. However, they would not be dealt with so easily.
You came rushing down the stairs. "Come sit over here real quick, Dee." You pointed towards a chair in the kitchen. He stood up and sat on the chair. "Do you mind if I put your hair up?"
"...Uhm, if you wish to, you may." He shifted slightly into a more comfortable position.
"I do!" You said, excitement evident in your voice and the way you rushed over to him. You took the ribbon out of your pocket and placed it on your shoulder.
