Welcome to War

I scanned the faces of the four people that surrounded me, completely alert. Who knows, they could be monsters or... or just.. bad people. They all stared at me, wide eyed.
"Uh..." I looked to the source of the voice to see a man with a goatee and jogging-wear. "Do people normally fall into your home from creepy blue portals?"
The one who spoke next wore a cape, sporting some authentic looking wizard costume. "Not usually." Before anyone could make another move or speak another word, a distant low rumbling sounded from outside.
What the hell is happening? I fell out of a portal in a place I've never seen with people I've never met and now there's an earthquake?
Goatee man eyes the wizard dude. "Say, Doc, you wouldn't happen to be moving your hair, would ya?" I looked over, eyes falling on one of the short locks of hair on the man's head. It was moving slightly, like there was a small breeze, but there wasn't one.
"Not at the moment, no."
The rumbling got louder, and everyone, including me, looked towards the door. Through the stained glass I saw crowds of people running past like their lives depended on it.
Goatee walked forwards, yanking open the doors. People screamed as they ran by and vehicles honked, warning other to move as they sped down the street. I instantly recognized I was in New York City, which made no sense since I've never actually been and I was supposed to land where I came from.
But that didn't seem to be the biggest problem as wizard, wizard 2, and the normal looking guy walked out the door as well. I sure as hell wasn't going to stay there another minute when I could be going back home, or when there was possibly danger nearby, so I followed as well.
A car crashed into a pole as goatee helped a woman up, just barely missing them. Wizard 2 and normal guy went to help, telling goatee and Wizard 1 to keep going.
"Hey! You might wanna out that time stone in your back pocket, Doc!" Goatee shouted to the wizard dude before running off. I pushed past people, trying not to make any of them fall, or myself.
"Might wanna use it." He responded before closing his hands into fists and holding them out in a defensive position. My eyes widened as an orange rings of light surrounded them. So maybe he wasn't actually cosplaying...
And maybe something worse than an earthquake was happening. My suspicions were proven correct as I followed the men around the corner. Hovering above the city, blowing clouds of dust, dirt, and other such stuff was what appeared to be an alien spaceship.
