"So, how you liking Venice so far?" Sebastian questioned as he caught up with Hope. The Auburn haired girl had been wandering around alone, enjoying the somehow peaceful bustle of life that went on everywhere.

"Oh, you know, it's much better out here than in the hotel." She shrugged, "It smells like mold in there." She was right, but she wasn't sure of the smell was just strong, or her nose was the only one that could pick up on it. Either way, it stung and smelt awful.

"I'm sure there's mold behind every wall." The boy hummed, walking beside her. The feeling of butterflies returned, along with another small feeling, like and itch in the back of her skull. She knew she wasn't ready for a boyfriend, and even the feeling of a simple crush was worrying, but maybe a friend. She had made some pretty good friends here, and there didn't seem to be any reason that Sebastian couldn't be one of them.

She still remembers the time she met MJ and Ned. She hadn't made the best first impression, but neither seemed to care. When she met Ned, she was on the verge of having a panic attack due to the crowdedness of the school, and she met MJ during the panic attack when she hid in the bathroom. After that, they walked out and noticed Flash Thompson and his friends shoving Peter and Ned, which made Hope have to step in and kick ass.

Really it was a friendship meant to last a lifetime by that point.

Hope suddenly stopped in her tracks. Something had changed- something was wrong. The air grew a little more humid and the breeze a bit stronger. Looking around, her eyes fell on dozens of tiny crabs scuttling out of the water and away like their lives depended on it.

It was quiet for a moment, still, but it soon went into utter chaos as water burst from the lake, the ground rumbling beneath their feet. The water didn't fall back into place, but instead formed an extremely large aqua-monster.

"Oh, you have got to be kidding me." Hope muttered, hands clenching into fists at her side. Sebastian was reasonably terrified of what had just happened and went to pull Hope with him to safety but she yanked her arm away. "I have to go help my brother." She argued, running away before he could get a word out.

The aqua-monster smashed its fist into a building, effectively breaking part of it and letting a large rush of water flow down, flooding the ground beneath the scared people.

"Invisique." Hope muttered, glad that everyone was too busy screaming and running away to notice how she disappeared from sight. "Confuso fatina, ignos et ignos mortifina." Extending her hands, she used her magic to push the large wave of water away from a group of nearby people. She had no idea how to beat this monster. In her defense though, 'how to kill a water monster 101' wasn't exactly a class offered at the Salvatore School. Then again there wasn't a class for how to kill a dragon either.
