"Oh and everyone this is Draya, a very close friend of mine." I stood to the side, so I could show her off.

"Close friend eh? How come you've never brought her around before?" Mama asked.

"We just recently reconnected. She ironically happened to be at the same retreat I was attending in Bora Bora. Some may call it fate." I observed as Draya blushed at my statement.

"Hm, Interesting. Well, I'm sure we can make some room here at the table. Go ahead and grab her a chair after you discover your name tag, Giselle."

There was such an awkward silence in the atmosphere. Not even my sister has said a word to me.

I finally located my name tag and I'm happy to be sitting right beside my best friend, that was until I looked acrossed the table to see her sitting there. Funny how she's totally ignoring my entire existence right now.

I pulled up a seat for Draya and properly removed her coat for her, placing it on the back of her seat. I peaked over at Onika to see her having a conversation with Robyn. Why isn't she paying me any mind?

"Bey, you're staring." Kelly whispered.

I can't lie, she looks good. She doesn't even look phased by our breakup or whatever you want to call it. Her hair was sleek down her back, not a single flyaway in sight. She had on the simplest outfit. A plain pink long sleeve shirt and high waist jeans. I noticed she wore her favorite Chanel studs too.

I'm really not feeling how unbothered she's pretending to be. It is indeed, an act. All that crying and apologizing she was doing to me a couple weeks ago? Tuh. Her acting so nonchalant right now is such a facade.

Whatever discussion her and Robyn were having made her loudly cackle. The oh so famous cackle, I adored so much.

I turned my attention back to Draya who was so into her food, I'm sure she didn't catch me staring at my old lover. And yes, I meant lover because I indeed loved Onika. We both never spoke of the eight letters, three words but our actions spoke louder. The love we shared was intense. It was dangerous. It was precarious.

Don't let the girl sitting next to me fool you. I only brought her because I wanted to make Onika jealous. I wanted her to be envious that I came with another woman and not her. I wanted her so bothered to where she'd be fuming.

Don't get me wrong, I do like Draya but I know exactly who my heart and soul belongs to. I know exactly who I wish was laying beside me every night. I know who's the first person I think of when I wake up and before I go to sleep. Onika is tattooed on my heart in black ink and it's permanent.
