Sunday, 9:42 am"You were never the best father figure. You know how bad it hurt to see you come over for a few hours then go back home to your other family like me and my mom were disposable?"
"I get that-"
"No, Mathew, you don't get it. On top of that, I had to see your daughters everyday at school and I couldn't say a word about them being my half siblings because you and ma' had an 'understanding' or whatever bullshit of a lie you had me thinking was normal. I hated you so much that I turned into you. A deadbeat, who runs away from their problems, instead of facing them."
Those words made a feeling of disappointment wash over Mathew, especially hearing it from his only son. He felt like he paid his dues as a father and that he could have his cake and eat it too.
Tina knew of Mathew's cheating but was never aware of him having a side family during their marriage, let alone a whole baby due to the infidelity.
Mathew's son and Beyoncé are only ten days apart. How he was able to keep everything about this hidden? The world may never know.
The retired deacon was smart with his actions. Mathew used religion as a way to approve his wrongful doings. No one knew the real him, at least that's what he thought.
"Look son, I'm here now and I've always been here, that's all that matters. I'm willing to tell them about everything. And to be honest with you, I believe Solange has already put the pieces together. It's Beyoncé who's being stubborn."
"Man fuck her. I don't like seeing her out here parading around with my baby mama. I don't want that type of shit around my daughter."
"Lotus is not your daughter and I suggest you watch your mouth when you're talking about mine. As far as I'm concerned, Nasir, she has no idea who the hell you are. You have zero right nor a say on who should be around Lotus. I highly suggest you fix it before your son is born."
"And how do I fix it Mathew? I'm damn near six years too late! You don't think I regret not being there? I regret everything I put Onika through. Everything that's transpired with the media lately made me realize I want my family back."
Mathew couldn't help the laugh that roared from his mouth.
"Do you hear yourself? You sound so damn selfish. Family back? Really? You never had them in the first place, Nas. You never supported Onika not once throughout her pregnancy. You left that young girl high and dry to take care of that baby by herself.
You now have a new family. Your soon to be wife, who you speak so highly of. Your unborn son who's going to need all of your love and admiration. You should just focus on them until you really figure what you want to do."
"I never supported Onika throughout her pregnancy? Hmm.. I wonder where I learned that from. I seen a young fifteen year old, obviously a loner and socially awkward. I knew I could pursue her into falling for me. She was naive and timid but she wasn't easy, at first that is. I had to break her walls down. Day by day she eased more into me. She felt relaxed with me, even began calling me little pet names. I had her right where I wanted her little innocent soul.
