A day in class was the usual: social studies, typical basic foundations, and the occasional hero training exercise or two. Now in your second-year, you attempted to concentrate on your studies in the classroom, listening to Aizawa's lessons. This however was impeded by the thoughts in your head, and they weren't your own to your dismay. Hero training had its limits, and yours were becoming a drain, finding that your focus was drawing in all thoughts from those that surrounded you. The strongest ones dominated your mind space, and in this case–
"Ah... Yaoyorozu is looking so much lovelier than ever. That hair, her eyes... that skirt..."
It made you shiver every time. For the past few hours since the start of the school day, all you could hear was Mineta's voice in your head. At first you attempted to ignore the comments he made, concentrating more on Aizawa's voice more than anything. But as time passed by, the stray thoughts grew louder, unable to ignore them any longer the more you tried. Eyeing Mineta you noticed wherever his gaze roved, his thoughts followed after, gauging who his target of perversion was to be.
"Uraraka's extra bubbly today. In all the right places..."
"If only Hagakure dressed in her costume everyday..."
"Man, I'd let Asui crush me. Wonder if she'd rescue me if I drowned again..."
Every thought, every word made you crawl with disgust. You rolled your shoulders in an attempt to rid yourself of that feeling, forcing yourself to bite your tongue, or rather your mind from responding back. The last thing you needed was Mineta knowing you were listening, even though it was involuntary. Why was he the loudest one in the room, you thought, shutting your eyes and concentrating on Aizawa's vivid yet monotone voice.
"Oh... Ashido, please lean in more..."
You exhaled slowly and as quietly as possible, pinching the bridge of your nose from the tension you built around your head. Clocking your mind off would help, but studies and attention in class overrode your want to rid his thoughts from your head. At the very least, you've not heard a word about Jirou, relieved that Mineta had not thought much about her in class, but to hear everything about every other person was–
"Are they tired?"
Your eyes opened slowly, staring at your desk with half-written notes from the class. Were those thoughts directed at–
"There's a chance for a massage!"
Your brow furrowed a little against your fingers still pinching your bridge, exhaling slowly once more. At least you now knew he was staring at you while you absorbed Aizawa's monotone voice instead, avoiding any eye contact from anyone. The thought of it was chilling, an almost slimy feeling that refused to leave you, stuck on your spine. Despite your concentration to keep up with the class, your inundated mind was not aware of another pair of eyes staring at you, observing your state of health from across the room. His tired stare connected the dots upon spotting Mineta's roving eye, pulling his lips in slight disgust.
Hitoshi Shinsou kept a closer eye on you at least for the remainder of the morning.
The bell rang for recess throughout the school's halls before the sound of students echoed around, relieved to escape the classroom walls. Meanwhile you decided to take a seat in the classroom instead, conversing with your fellow classmates and chiding your time away. Still, your mind weighed heavily with the onslaught of voices, particularly one of Mineta who sat a distance away from the girls, eyes ogling at them, including yourself. His thoughts grew prevalent, constant, and overall, dug themselves into a deeper hole.
"Hey, are you feeling okay?" asked Jirou, attempting to look you in your sore and tired eyes. "Do you need to go back to the dorms?"
Snapping from the voices in your head, you realised overtime that the girls eyed you worriedly, perhaps for some time for all you knew. "I'm okay," you slowly replied with a tired smile, hoping the upbeat tone in your voice masked the exhaustion your mind carried.
"Now's my chance! Walk up to them, offer to take them, and then put on my moves..."
You sighed heavily at that response, your shoulders growing weary and heavier. You hoped he didn't go through with that thought, wished that it didn't transpire into actions. You thought, with careful consideration to disallow his knowing, that he stayed where he was on the opposite side of the room, hearing the drag of his chair and his feet landing on the floor.
SCREAM
Silence.
A wave of relief washed through your head. The weight of it lifted from your mind. It took you by surprise followed by the questioning remarks from the rest of the class across the way. All of those dirty thoughts disappeared, no longer haunting your mind, now replaced by the sounds of muffled panic that reached your ears.
Peering past the girls, you found Mineta struggling within a tight wrap of Shinsou's binding cloth, in essence gagging him as well. Shinsou stared at the short boy, unimpressed with him despite the others questioning his actions. All he did was ignore them, turning his tired eyes towards the girls across the room.
"Is everything okay here?" he asked dryly, pulling at the cloth once more to ensure Mineta understood his sentiments.
"Yeah, thanks Shinsou, he was being creepy again," piped Ashido with a wide grin, nonchalant about Mineta's behaviour.
Shinsou peered at each one, noticing their blase attitude towards a fellow classmate they had tolerated over the course of their schooling at UA. Though he had only entered the Hero Program this year, learning about each of his now fellow classmates was an enlightening experience. His violet eyes trailed across to you, finding that your shoulders finally relaxed from whatever torment you must've tolerated all morning. Meeting his gaze was a relief in itself, mouthing gratitude towards him, thankful for his intervention.
"Thank you."
All you found was a tired small smile, one only for you, before he tugged on his cloth once more for good measure.
