ANGÈLE JOSÉPHINE MONET LAURENT CHASTIN - TOULOUSE, FRANCE 1968
They sat down on the empty chairs next to each other, not really knowing what to say. "I think we're going to head out too." Adrien said. "It's getting really windy, and I think it's gonna start raining soon." He shoved his cigarettes into his pants, standing up and grabbing the car keys that were sitting on the table.
"Oh, we just sat down." Alexandre pouted.
"Maybe we could see each other tomorrow?" Roxane said turning towards the twin. Angele pressed her lips together and took a sip of Adrien half-empty beer, getting up. She ran her hands through her hair a couple of times and arranged her bangs as she walked up to her older brother.
"Um... I don't know. We kind of have a long day tomorrow." Alexandre awkwardly said, not know how to lie to her, he stood up trying to run away from the conversation.
Roxane grinned, showing her gums. "Okay, call me then." He tried not to hear here. He knew the next time she'd ask he'd actually lie about it.
"Zut!" Angele groaned, it was raining cats and dogs and she had accidentally stepped into a puddle in their front of their porch. She didn't hear Adrien telling her to watch out for the puddle. "These are new." She whined taking her shoes off and shoved them in the shoe compartment by their entrance.
The boys laughed at her as she grumbled, ripping her wet socks off her feet. "It's okay, you can clean your pretty feet now that we're home." Adrien chuckled.
"Shut it, please and thank you." She gave him a fake smile and made her way upstairs, brushing past her brothers who watched her go up the stairs.
The brothers decided to spend the rest of their ruined evening, getting ready for bed, making dinner, and choosing a movie to watch for the rest of the night. They both decided on 'La Grande Vadrouille', a 1966 movie by Gérard Oury. "Angele? T'a fini?" A knock on the door emerged. Adrien set the twin to go check on her as she was taking too long in the bathroom.
"Oui. Give me two seconds." She replied, getting dressed into her pale green nightgown. She opened the door, releasing the hot air out and Alexandre jumping up in the process. "You're too much." She laughed, turning off the bathroom light.
"Adrien sent me." He clarified.
"Alright~" She giggled and brushed past him walking down the stairs. "What are we watching?" She asked, sitting in between the two young men.
"La Grande Vadrouille." Adrien answered handing her plate of pesto pasta with cheese sprinkled on top and leaned forward to hand Alexandre his plate. "Du vin?" He lifted up the bottle of Sauvignon Blanc wine.
The duo nodded and Adrien poured them the white wine. They sat comfortably as they ate and drank, along with Adrien's usual cigarette between his fingers; from time to time, they'd make comments at the movie or laugh audibly. Generally, it was a nice moment as they hadn't done this in a while. "What movie should we watch next?" Alexandre asked as the three of them watched the credits roll.
