Chapter 10- Peacemaking Day (Part Two)

Zayn's POV

"Boys. It's time to start", my father said to Cody and I

"Okay, father", we both said

I wonder how my Taylor is doing. She probably nervous about everything. I hope she's okay.

This whole entire thing is making me anxious. All I want is this whole feud to end and get on with the rest of our lives. I haven't been with my mate and it's killing me inside. My wold is getting restless and is just waiting to claim her.

My parents, Cody, and I walked on stage right on with Taylor's family. We all bowed at each other in respect. As I was coming, I made small contact with Taylor and I could see the fear in her eyes. If only I could go over there and comfort her.

We all took our seats at the long table that also splits where our kingdoms lies. I look at people and all I see is the look of disgust they have for the vampires and vice versa. Here we go.

No One's Pov

"Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to the Annual Peacemaking Day. As you all know we are all here to voice our concerns and make try to make amends. To start it off, we will do a coin toss to see which side will go first. King Blue, which side of the con do you call?", a guard from the Vampires asked their King

"Heads", Blue said swiftly

"As you wish."

The guard flipped the coin, but it landed on tails.

"The coin did not land on Heads, so the Werewolves will start to meeting first", the guard shouted to the whole arena

The Werewolves shouted in glee and started to taunted the Vampires. If the Vampires could, they would be a whole brawl between the two kingdoms right now.

"That's Enough!", King Rain shouted to his kingdom. They immediately obeyed their king, but not without one last taunt to the Vampires.

"First thing that needs to come to order is being cheated our of resources...", 

Everyone started to listen to the King speak, whether they wanted to or not. People would start bickering when they heard something that was out of context. Everyone was engaged in the whole meeting except the two pairs of mates. They all look at each other with admiration. they were so nervous when it was their turn to break the news. The end was getting near.

It was almost the end of the meeting and it was time for the kids to announce their relationship.

Both Kings called their children up to the edge of the stage.

"We have one thing to announce before this meeting ends. This could make or break these two kingdoms, but we all need to start looking at things in a positive way", King stated. " The topic we both want to discuss a situation concern mates", King Rain said with uncertainity

The crowd started to mummer not knowing what could be the problem concerning mates. It was a topic that both kingdoms never really had a problem with. Everyone was happy with their mates.

"Now, what we are about to tell you maybe seem preposterous, but we will answer any questions you may have after we are done speaking. Everyone, mine and King Rain's kids, they happen to be mates."

The arena started shaking in anger. They were throwing insults back and forth. The kids were terrified they didn't know it would be bad.

"Why should we let them be with each other? Those whores will bleed them dry and take everything we have!", a woman shouted form the side of the Werewolves

 "You will not speak about my daughters like that! They have done nothing to you!", King Blue shouted with rage 

"Yeah! Don't speak about my mate like that. You don't even know her. I love her and will never break my bond with her just because  someone of you don't agree. We're here to make to try an make amends! Isn't this a good way to start to rebuild a new friendship?!", Zayn screamed.

Taylor looked at him with an unknown feeling. She had never seen him this upset before. She felt safe knowing he had her back, but then again, with his whole kingdom here, she felt scared.

"I rather burn myself than having a friendship with these filthy mutts!"

Everyone was shouting and swinging at each other. This was hectic.  This was getting nowhere.

"ENOUGH! Now, fighting will get us nowhere. Soon or later, you will have to get use to it. There's nothing we can do about their bond. We will all have to become one in a matter of days. If we don't go through will this, they will all die and you'll have no one to lead the kingdoms. So, if you're against it, that means you're also against your own king. That means you want to challenge us. Is anyone up for it or will you do as we say? Your choice", King Rain spoke with full authority.

The two pairs of mates look at the King in shocked. They all thought if someone were to challenge their fathers, there was no stopping. All they can hope is that people will try to see the good in this and for what will come for their kingdoms.
