Stupid. Nightmare hated the feeling of it. Killer got away again. No one got away from he except Killer. And him. Even the thought of Dream made him want to crush the skeleton in his grasp. Cross was limp, already broken enough that it'd take a whole day for someone to heal him. He'd be useless if it wasn't for Killer. He growled. Killer. He'd made him to what he was now, a vessel full of need for revenge, but also, a scared boy that didn't understand any emotion but that hate. All he needed to do was shattered him again, make him suffer.
Nightmare dropped Cross, who laid only a few seconds before forcing himself to his feet. He didn't complain. Whatever had happened to him during that incident with it had given Cross an easy to manipulate aura. He was a weaker version of what Killer had been, but he had to do with his group in shambles. Nightmare let out a rough sigh. He'd need to find someone to heal Cross, perhaps a gullible Toriel that didn't know better of the origins of their Sans' new uniform.
"D—n it.." He had grumbled before enveloping Cross and vanishing to elsewhere.~{}~
Killer felt embarrassed. After his pout on the floor, some of the figures had escorted him to a place to rest. Now, he laid staring up in the small bed, the face of the Papyrus still in his mind. It had gone as expected, well, except for the end. He grabbed the pillow from under him and shoved it in his face, letting out a muffled scream. Why did he do that? They probably thought he was trying to make them feel bad for him. Stupid, stupid! He got up. No one was there, not even Dream, and being alone left him to his thoughts more. He opened the door.
"Sup." Killer jumped as the voice. The Sans that stood there wore purple, his hood up.
Epic Sans. He recognized him from a past encounter, more particularly the rubber chicken that he got slapped in the face with. Epic smirked at him. He remembered it too.
"We meet again, eh bruh?" He elbowed Killer. "So I heard you're turning a new leaf!"
"Yes, and, I'm sorry for-"
"No need bruh, no hard feelings here," Epic interrupted. "Can't say the same for some of the others, that's why I'm gonna babysit ya."It made sense that they'd want someone to keep an eye on Killer, but Epic? He sighed, heading towards the door.
"Where're ya going?" Epic asked, keeping pace with him.
"I'm looking for Dream," He responded.
"Dream? You?"
"Yeah, I know, not the first time I've heard that."
Epic chuckled. "Looks like Dream finally got to ya, huh bruh? What about Cross? How's that going?" Killer stopped. "Ah, I take that as no good."Cross was there with Nightmare last time. He had looked horrible, the crack on his skull getting close to the size of Horror. Killer fiddled with the blaster still resting in his pocket. Only one chance. He'd cure him, and then they'd go for Nightmare together. What if you miss? He tensed. ..I won't.
"Hello?" Epics hand waved in his face. "I didn't trigger war flashbacks, did I bruh?"
Killer turned to him. Epic was eyeing Killer's pocket. If he wasn't trying to make it obvious, he did a poor job hiding the fact he knew Killer's knife was in his pocket.Killer dropped his hand as a way to show he didn't mean anything and Epic seemed to just throw it off his shoulder. The door opened before Killer ever got to it. Dream entered, giving Epic a wave before walking up to Killer.
"Are you feeling any better?" He asked, tone worried. Killer nodded. "What happened?"
"I.. saw someone in the crowd, a Papyrus." Killer mumbled. "I don't know what came over me after that." It was true, he couldn't remember, and thinking of it gave him a headache.Dream's face was sympathetic. It always was towards him, wasn't it? Epic shrugged.
"That's life bruh, sometimes it gives you lemons to the eyes." He said.
"What?"
"So are y'all heading out then?" Epic asked Dream. Killer didn't bother to think about the nonsense Epic said more than he needed to.
"That's Killers decision. A lot has happened to him," Dream turned to Killer. "If you need to rest, we can stay as long as you want. I doubt Nightmare would come."Killer wasn't sure. Perhaps he should try to speak with those that he had hurt again. Monster. He shivered. He killed their loved ones like he had his own, they probably thought he was playing with them like the Asgore had said. But Papyrus. He thought about the Papyrus' face. But isn't that just what all Papyrus' were like? It's just his natural way of acting. Now he sounded like Error. Killer let out a sigh.
"Seriously bruh, do you have problems or is this zoning out thing normal for sociopaths?" Epic asked."Epic, just let him think," Dream mumbled. Epic shrugged in response.
"Just asking, I'm curious."
"Sorry, I have a lot on my mind right now." Killer stated. "Can you sense him, Dream?"
Dream closed his eyes before nodding.
"Yes... and Cross is with him."
Killer paused. He brought him again. Now that Ink refused to help, that meant-
"You can't come then." Killer said. "With what happened last time, you'll just get in the way."Dream looked upset, but he knew Killer was right.
"I'll go with ya." Epic stepped in. "Cross is my buddy too bruh, bro's stick together."
Killer felt relief in that. At least he didn't have to do it alone. Still, he remembered last time. He had just stood there, Nightmare had froze him in place, all because he couldn't control his emotions.
"Hey, Killer." Killer turned to Epic when he spoke. "Don't think as much about stuff, it doesn't help."Killer blinked. Epic looked at Killer with a focused gaze. Killer nodded.
"A-Alright. Dream, could you open a portal?" Killer turned away from Epic.
Dream raised his hands, a circle of magic forming and growing until another location was visible inside it. Killer gave one last glance to Epic, taking a deep breathe as he tried to listen to his words. It's ok, don't think about it. He entered the portal, placing his hand on the blaster inside his pocket.
