 LOCATION: - DELUCA'S CONFERENCE ROOM

 "Everybody as now it's settled that we will be opening a new store in Seattle next week and the opening will be headed by none other than my daughter-in-law Arizona Robbins Deluca." Everybody was as shocked as Arizona herself. She knew her relations with her father-in-law were improving but didn't expect him to trust her with such great opportunity. She was happy and in her own bubble but suddenly she snapped out of it thinking of carina that if she was as happy as herself, or she felt overshadowed.

When she looked around, she was met with happy and smiling faces of Andrew, Maya and lastly Carina, who was sitting beside her. Carina put her hand over Arizona's under the table and gave her a reassuring nod. Arizona stood from her seat and thanked everyone for showing confidence in her. Everyone in the room clapped for her and congratulated her.

After the whole ordeal of planning the opening in Seattle, there were other issues brought upon by other investors. And while all of this was happening, Maya was listening to everyone with interest when she noticed carina. Carina was playing with pens and accessories on the table showing least interest in what the other person was saying. They both smiled towards each other as their eyes met. But from that moment maya can't keep her eyes away from carina and her antiques. Carina noticed that and started silently mouthing what the investor was saying making maya laugh. Everybody looked at maya and maya quickly mouthed sorry clearing her throat and sent a glare towards carina to which she just smirked.

After an hour with everything discussed meeting was dismissed and when everyone was leaving room, "Car, I'm going to thank Vincenzo for showing confidence in me and I'll see you at dinner. Is it fine by you?" "Yeah sure, I guess I'll just hang around here and see If I can find something to engage myself". Carina was just entering the elevator when maya called for her.

"Hey, Maya How are you? Do you need something? There was excitement in carina's voice but couldn't understand the reason behind it.

"Umm, hi firstly I just wanted to apologize for yesterday's dinner, I couldn't be there with you all. And also, I was gonna ask if you wanna join me for lunch. I want to make up for yesterday and maybe we can hang out after that."

"You don't have to apologize maya, Andrea told me about Andy's accident. I understand. And I would love to go for lunch with you, you might have saved me spending the lunch time with junior designers I have here. I love the enthusiasm they have but sometimes it's just too much."

"Oh, so you're gonna use me as bait from getting bored, ok I will take that." Maya faked annoyance.

"No, maya I didn't mean that" carina was cut off by maya's laughter. "I was just messing up with you carina. Now shall we go? I have a place in my mind and I am really hungry".

They both made a little journey from the office building to the restaurant in a comfortable silence. Maya was the regular visitor of the restaurant as when she entered they were directed to the table that she always liked.
