Notes:

I didn't mention in first chapter. In Italy Deluca industries used to deal with Italian fabric but Vincenzo came to America many years back and started with on clothing store and now own many across states.

Location- L.A. 

It's been a few weeks since the engagement and Andrew was spending more time in his office as being co-owner of the company he oversees many sectors of the company. Maya although being CEO of company was always more interested in department which used to deal with bringing new brands to the store or which brand should get more highlighted in their stores. 

Andrew was going over some things in his office while his phone buzzed with several messages. He took a look but ignored them,they were all from maya. After few minutes his phone rang and it was maya calling.

"Where were you andrew, I have been messaging for long time, I want to discuss something important with you right now" maya seemed angry over phone but listened to andrew patiently. "I was busy maya, you know how I get lost while working, I'll get off by 9 in the evening, why don't we discuss it over dinner at home." Andrew was nonchalant through out the conversation.

"No need I am on my way to your office right now, I really need to talk about this, I just didn't want to come unannounced." Maya disconnected the call while going into the elevator. After few min. She entered andrew's office and sat across him while controlling her breathing and her anger.

"Okay, now you are here, what was so imp. That you couldn't wait for me to come home, maya." Andrew was surprised or more to say irritated with Maya's behaviour. "Remember, when I introduced you to that new Brazilian brand, whose head designer contacted us a month ago, and I promised them an important highlight in our store. I visited one of our store in L.A. today and guess what that brand was not only shifted to 2nd floor but also they were given less space then I asked." Maya now standing from her place with arms crossed and seething with anger.

"Maya we have been over this, famous brands pays more and gets more space and good location that's how it works, it's not my problem that you promised someone without asking me, you are not the owner." Andrew regretted as soon as he spoke and tried to apologise but maya beat him to it.

"Oh believe me andrew I know that, and I know many people in this company believes that I'm marrying you for that but you do know that I don't give a fuck about your title or money" maya was hurt by Andrew's comment but deep down she knew that he didn't mean it. "It's just that I want to give a chance to new talent out there and I have seen their designs andrew, if not now but in future that will profit us they just need right exposure. I thought you will understand this as your sister was one of them." Keeping her hurt aside maya was trying to make andrew understand and brought carina in the discussion but andrew didn't want to listen.

"Don't bring carina into this, I love her but she never valued this company and was never to follow the rules. I signed the contract maya and I don't want to discuss this more with you. Business doesn't work well with emotions, it is what it is. Now I want to get back to work and you should too. We should be heading home in an hour" Andrew avoided eye contact with maya and returned to his work. He knew he was hurting maya but couldn't help it.

"Oh don't bother, I will go in my car today" maya left andrew's office in anger, slamming the door on her way. Andrew sighed and put his face between his palms after maya left. 

Andrew came late today at home and found Maya's car already parked. He went straight to his bedroom but didn't find maya there. He searched the house and found maya lying on the couch in her office. 

"What are you doing in your office?" Andrew could already feel tension in the room.

"I am sleeping here on the couch today, I don't want to fight with you but I am really mad at you and I can't see your face right now" now maya avoided eye contact and closed her eyes ready to sleep.

"I understand, but it's just that carina and her wife are coming tomorrow and although she didn't want any of us to pick them from airport but we will be having lunch together and I want " before Andrew could complete, maya spoke "You want us to look normal, sure will do" maya mumbled from under the blanket. Andrew shut the door without saying anything and went to his room. He hated when they fight and was thinking ways to make up with maya and apologize for his today's behaviour.

Next morning,

Andrew made sure to wake up before maya and asked Maria to help him in making breakfast. He wanted to surprise maya with breakfast in bed. While he was preparing waffles, maya was already coming down the stairs towards kitchen.

"No, no, no, you shouldn't have woken up, I was going to bring breakfast in bed". Andrew shouted from kitchen while forming 'go away' gestures by his hands. Maya looked at him with confused face, surprised by the events but quickly understood his intentions.

"Seriously, you think after being an ass to me yesterday, you will make up to me by making breakfast. You have to work hard deluca." Maya gave him the look and sat down on breakfast table while serving herself.

"I am sorry maya, I promise whatever disagreements we have, I won't talk to you in that way ever."

"It's fine. At what time we have to leave for lunch with carina? And why they are staying in hotel, you could have offered our place to live."

"They have landed already and are on the way to hotel. So I guess it would be appropriate to have lunch by 2pm. And I did offer our place she said she didn't wanna intrude and mentioned that she and her wife are taking this trip as their long time pending vacation, she wanted to enjoy time with themselves other than business." Andrew explained to maya.

"That sounds fair, I'll be in my office upstairs and will be ready by 1.30". 

"Aren't we going to talk about yesterday?" Andrew was still not feeling good due to the tension between them.

"We will but not today. I want to go through this day and just want my space right now". Maya left towards her office without making any eye contact.

Notes:

I promise maya and carina will meet in next chap. 😌 & It will be mostly about them.

Also I want an opinion, should I bring drama of kids between the couples?
