I watched the waves crash against the sand as I drew in my notebook. I moved the pencil against the pad, the scene in front of me materializing on the paper. I need to tell Alex. But how? I heard the door slide open next to me and looked up to see my husband enter.

"Hey." I smiled as Alex took a seat next to me.

"Hey." The blonde ran a hand through his hair and I closed my book.

"What's wrong?" I asked and Alex sighed.

"I just got a call from my mom. Apparently Scott blew up part of his school."

"What? How did he do that?" I asked, turning to face my husband completely.

"According to the principal and another student that was with him, he shot lasers out of his eyes and destroyed an upstairs bathroom."

"His powers came in? That's great." I said and Alex smiled.

"Mom thinks it would be a good idea for him to go to Charles' school. I already called and Charles agreed."

"Alright, when do we leave to pick him up?" I asked, catching onto what Alex was saying. The blonde smiled as he gripped my hand.

"As soon as possible."

"I'll get my things." I placed a quick peck on my husband's lips before standing up. Alex smiled as he did the same. We both entered our room and gathered a small bag of clothes and whatever else we'd need. I tucked my knife into my boot and my bobby pin in my hair. Alex grabbed his bag and we headed downstairs, passing Mason in the living room.

"Where are you guys going?" The dark haired man asked, noticing our bags.
