𝐕𝐈 - What We Were

"Why is there a rabbit in the kitchen !" Was the first thing I woke up to; Tyler's harsh morning voice.

Fuck, don't start with your fucking obsession with morning voices.

"A rabbit in the kitchen? Tyler, are you becoming mental?" Screamed Gray from probably his room.

"You ass, I'm not. There's an actual rabbit in the kitchen."

Still half-asleep, I got on my feet and walked up to the bedroom door, but hesitated to open it.

What if they don't know I'm here?

But either I open that door or I let Tyler and Gray traumatize Milo. So I wrapped one of the bed blankets around myself and walked into the kitchen.

As soon as I step a foot into the room, I felt Tyler's gaze on me. I tried my best to avoid looking at him and slowly take Milo into my arms. A couple of seconds later, someone else arrived behind me, and I guessed just by the look that Tyler gave to him that it was Gray.

"Where's the bunny?"

Is that his first question?

Like, nor is he or his brother actually wondering why I am here? Maybe they're avoiding the question-to be honest, I'm kind of lost right now.

Maybe I should pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming.

"Ask her." Said Tyler without looking at me.

Gray didn't even ask and took off the blanket, I felt like a child just for that. My heart started racing.

As the three of us stared at each other all frozen, I told myself that I shouldn't have come here. I should have called Hailey and asked her if I could come for the night and not throw myself into Aaron's order and end up sleeping in his apartment.

I should leave, but I just can't move, because I missed those noisy mornings and the smell of coffee.

"Holy shit." I heard Tyler mumble under his breath as I felt Gray's eyes on me. "Holy fucking shit." I heard his brother say.

Yeah, fuck this whole situation... again.

At this moment I should've said something, but what was happening was making me wish I could die on the spot.

I knew that if I turned around, Gray's shirt is missing.

They were always shirtless in the morning, it was a vice that I could enjoy only for a few seconds back then before one of them noticed my gaze on them, so I only have a few memories of their tattoos.

"Staring is a little impolite, young lady." His husky morning voice was even more attractive than his torso.

For a moment I didn't realize that my lips were parted and I couldn't do anything else than stare at his face, totally speechless.
