*ೃ✧ ━ MINNIE sighed as she picked up the ringing phone, "Hello?"

"Minnie? Minnie, hey, it's Jonathan and I know this might be weird but you, uh, live near us and I'm just wondering if you maybe saw Will last night?" Jonathan rambled over the phone,

"Uh, no, sorry, I got home around eleven and practically passed out." Minnie answered, "Why?"

"Will's missing." Jonathan hesitated to speak,

"Oh my, God, I'm so sorry... I'll let you know if I see anything." Minnie pushed her hair back,

"Yeah, yeah, okay, uh, I know this is probably a lot to ask but I was wondering if you could help us look for him? Like putting up fliers or something." Jonathan sighed,

"Of course, Jonathan, I'll always help you, you know that... listen I gotta go, okay? Let me know if you need anything else." Minnie looked at her watch as her mother came into the room,

"Okay, thank you, so much."

"It's truly no problem." She let out a breath as she hung up, looking around she smiled softly at her mom, "Will's missing before you ask, mamá."

As Minnie walked into the school she sighed as she noticed Jonathan obviously wasn't there, great. She sighed as she looked at the ground, watching as her feet switched places as she stepped. Suddenly she winced as she walked into somebody, "Shit, I'm sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going."

"It's fine- oh, it's you." Shit, she knew that voice, anybody would know that voice, she threw her head back in annoyance before looking back at Steve,

"Oh, it's you." She mumbled mockingly before walking away only to get pulled back towards him,

"I didnt mean that rudely, you know." He said,

"Yeah, right." Minnie said in a mockingly deep voice,

"What's your problem with me?" Steve asked, tilting his head,

"Seriously? Oh my, God... you're a douchebag but that's known, so." She shrugged, "... Can you let go of my wrist now?"

"Yeah." Steve simply whispered, his hand falling back into his pocket as she walked away, what a bitch, right?

Minnie sighed as she knocked on the Byers door, pushing her hair back before Jonathan opened the door, "Thank God you're here, I might've gone crazy if I had to go looking for you." She spoke as she wrapped her arms around him, "Are you okay? Are there any updates or anything on Will at all?"

"I'm fine and not reallt, they found his bike... but what are you doing here?"

"I was gonna go to the search party but my mom said no so I figured I'd come and check up on you guys." Minnie explained as she walked in, "Oh my, God, have you been crying?" She questioned softly as she wiped his tears,

"I'm fine, okay? No need to worry about me." Jonathan exhaled as he wrapped his hands around her wrist, Minnie nodded as her hands move away from his face,

"Okay, but I'm going to, you're my best friend and your brothers missing, Jon." Minnies eyes wandered as she noticed Joyce running to the ringing yellow phone before picking it up,

"Hello? Hello? Lonnie? Hopper? Who is this?" Joyce questioned, "Will?" She said after a moment, a sob then left her throat shortly after, Minnie watched as she questioned the other person there before yelling as the phone shocked her, Jonathan quickly tried to talk to them as well but the line was dead. Minnie hesitantly walked over before she began rubbing Joyces back as the older woman sobbed.

"I know his breathing." She repeated multiple times as if she were a broken record.

Now, Minnie will never claim to know what the Byers are going through, but she does know what it's like to lose a brother, she lost hers at the ripe age of fourteen, but she at least never had to go searching for him, never had to stay up all night worried about where he was or if he was alive, so, no, Minnie didn't know what they were going through but that didn't stop her from feeling as if she just lost another her brother again even if Will wasn't her brother, biologically at least.
