*ೃ✧ ━ MINNIE put her hands in her pockets as she walked with Steve, "Still can't believe you're a nerd."

"Hey, Leia is the best female character ever, at least I didn't dress up as a John Travolta character." She smiled,

"Shut it." He smiled, "You sure Nance-"

"Yes, I am 100% sure she's going to be fine, you literally asked Jonathan to take her home." She shrugged,

"You sure you're okay though? You seemed really upset about Brad." He tilted his head,

"Yeah, he just mentioned Manuel and I- fuck, I don't know." Minnie groaned as she threw her head back, tears threatening to fall out of frustration, "His name is literally Brad, why the fuck did I ever even like him?" She rubbed her eyes,

"At least it wasn't a Chad." Steve shrugged,

"They're both the whitest names ever! The literal fucking chokehold white boys have me in." She faked a cry, "Most of y'all are fucking assholes as well."

"Am I in the most?" He nudged her,

"Yes, obviously... not as much anymore though." She shrugged, "I-... you've had a lot of development over the last year, guess I've warmed up to you."

"You guess? You're literally on a walk with me." Steve laughed, a breathy laugh that echoed in Minnies mind, "Thank God we didn't go far though, we're gonna have to go back for our cars."

"Yeah.. and soon, Chloes got a curfew which means I do." Minnie sighed, "... Wanna race?"

"No, you literally used to do track you'd beat my ass." He shrugged as his head stuck forward a bit whilst he emphasize his words.

"Cool, guess you're just gonna have to walk behind me while I run, my mom will have my head on a pike if I'm late." Minnie smiled before she began jogging back to Tinas house,

"You could've had a starting count!" Steve yelled as he chased after her.

Minnie redid her hair clips for the hundredth time that day, her hands antsy. It felt weird to think, even weirder to have just be an echo in her mind, Minnie Alvarez having another crush on another douchebag after she swore them off. She didn't want to know how it happened, how she fell for another white boy who thinks he rules the world.

She zoned out as she chewed on her top lip, she wouldn't- couldn't - have feelings for him. He was with Nancy after all.

"I broke up with her." Steve blurted, shutting Minnies locker which made her flinch, her head shook as she did a double take,

"Huh?"

"Nancy, I broke up with her- well not verbally but I asked her to tell me she loved me to prove what she wasn't a lie and... shit, she couldn't do it and-"

"Calm down, richie." She tried to joke, "Sorry, wrong time, I see that now." Steve sighed,

"You're so annoying sometimes, y'know?" Steve leaned against the lockers,

"And yet, you're still trying to woo me." Minnie said, flipping her hair in a joking manner.

"Am I, now?"

"Totally, I mean who wouldn't? I am amazing after all." She smiled,

"Okay, now you're just bluffing."

"I wasn't bluffing before?"

Steve paused, "What- yeah- yes, obviously. You're just bluffing more with the amazing." he shrugged,

"Uh-huh. Since you're so down in the dumps 'bout Nancy and it's the end of the day, why don't we just go get some candy? Surely there's some left overs in my moms tazón de caramelo." Minnie shrugged,

"No hablas espanol, Min." Steve reminded,

"Don't you take Spanish?"

"Yeah... I'm failing." He looked at the ground,

"I'm not being your tutor again."

"I never said anything about that but since you brought it up-"

"Don't! Unless you're getting me another horrible mug, I'm not tutoring you." Minnie shrugged, "Don't even think about it, let's just go share my moms candy bowl."

"Candy bowl? That's what it means?"

"Yes, you should've at least been able to guess bowl." Minnie pushed him,

"Why didn't you just say it in English?"

"Cause speaking Spanish is fun, come on, let's go, you're my ride now by the way, my mom took my car to work today." Minnie smiled, grabbing onto his hand as she walked to the exit of the school.

Steve couldn't help the small smile on his face as he walked behind her, he never understood why she put everyone's needs before her own, even people who were horrible to her. He sighed as pulled her back towards him, her breath hitched as her side brushed past his chest, "You're hurting my hand, Min." He said in a quiet voice,

"Sorry." She smiled, her fingers brushing the hair out of her face.

the way steves barely in the next couple of episodes and it's only nancy and jonathan... bout to cry.
