Rules and Concepts

This is a Pokemon fanfiction, but I'm changing some rules that you see in the games. It makes the story better and less strict, in my opinion.

Note: Even if you're not a Pokemon fan, you could still enjoy this story. I'm designing it so you don't have to know a lot about Pokemon to still read it and get the gist of it. Also, if you don't know much about Pokemon, these technicalities don't apply to you. You can skip ahead to the first chapter if you want.

1. Pokemon can (and will) have more than four moves. With only four, it is too restricted and it will turn this into a crappy book.

2. Pokemon evolution is going to be different. Because there are no levels, it will be (for example) if your Pokemon just won an important battle or bonded a lot with its trainer.

3. A very important rule: Just because this takes place in the Unova region does not mean that there have to be only Unova-region Pokemon. With the possibility of finding any Pokemon, it adds realism and diversity. (That was the one thing I hated about the games.)

4. The Pokedex, to make it a whole lot cooler, will have tons of information about every Pokemon, not just a few sentences.

5. In places in the story that are in the games, I am going to add new things like parks and subways to make it more interesting.

I think that's all my rules and concepts for now, but I might add more. I'm sure I'm forgetting something. Anyway, read on!
