YEARS LATER

Y/N POV

"Quackity! Hurry up, the father daughter dance starts in an hour and you promised the principal you would help finish setting up!" I yell through the bathroom door, I hear rustling and the door opens. "Relax, I'll be there in plenty of time love." He says, kissing me on my cheek. "The girls are all ready, I'm telling you they are really excited for this dance." I say, resting my hands on his shoulders. He smiles and leans forward. "Me too." He says before kissing me, I almost get lost in the kiss but I push him away. "Go! You're going to be late!" I say with a laugh, he rolls his eyes and smiles. "Oh whatever." He mumbles before going downstairs, I smile to myself and follow him downstairs. "I called shotgun first!" I hear from the kitchen "No, I did!" Quackity walks into the kitchen before me. "What are you guys arguing about?" He asks, taking his water bottle from the counter. "Mel said she called shotgun first but  I obviously said it first." "I called shotgun before Addie did!" The girls say in sync, Quackity glances at me and then changes the subject. "You made Nicknames?" He asks the girls, pretending he didn't change the subject. "Yes! Mel for Melody and Addie for Adeline!" Melody says with a big smile on her face, I laugh silently to myself and Quackity smirks. "Are you girls ready to go, The dance is waiting for us. Lets go get this party started!" He says, He picks both the girls up and sits them on his shoulders. Laughter erupts from the girls and I lean against the doorframe as Quackity brings the girls outside to the car. A few seconds later familiar purple specks appear and Melody teleports into the kitchen, she looks around and then looks at me. "I don't know how I did that." She says before running back outside to the car. I laugh to myself and pick up my phone, calling Ranboo's number. The phone rings a few times before the call connects. "Hey Y/n what's up?" He asks, I don't answer at first I just sit and listen to the background noises for a few seconds. "Hey, you know how to keep Endermen teleportation under control right? I ask him, I hear him laugh softly. "Have the girls started teleporting? They are about 8, They're at that age." He asks me, I smile. "Yeah" I say, he mutes himself for a second and then he unmutes coming back to the phone. "Yeah, how does Saturday night sound?" 

Dream POV

"George relax. If you don't want to, you don't have to go." I say calmly, George sighs and leans against the wall. "I want to come, but I also... Don't." He mumbles, I sit down on the couch and smile as George comes and sits beside me. "There will be a lot of people there and I can't change that. I'll go with her and you can stay here and If it really means that much to you when we get back we can turn on some music in the living room and you guys can have your own father daughter dance." I tell him, He smiles softly and leans his head on my shoulder. "I'd like that." He says quietly, I kiss his forehead and Annabelle runs in. "I can't decide if I want to wear my blue dress or my purple dress!" She whines, George and I exchange glances. "Put them beside each other, close your eyes and whichever one you notice first when you open your eyes; is the one you wear." I tell her, she smiles and skips back to her room. "You'd think she was 15, not 10" George says with a smile on his face, I laugh and a few seconds later Annabelle walks out in a Green and Blue dress; the green fading into the perfect blue. "I found this dress and I think it's perfect. Since you both won't be with me at the dance, I can just wear both of your favorite colours."  She says with a smile, George looks at her in awe. "It's beautiful Annabelle" I say, standing up and walking over to her. I take her hand and she spins, her dress flowing around her. "You ready to go?" I ask her, she nods and smiles, running over to George and falling into a hug. "I'll see you after the dance." She says before skipping over. She lifts her dress up a bit, showing me her sneaker and grins, "I'll race you to the car, last one there has to buy ice cream for the next month." 

SapNap POV

"I don't care what you say, we are both going." Karl scoffs, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. "Karl, not even Dream and George are both going. Are you 100 percent sure you want both of us to go?" I ask him, he doesn't even look at me. "I am sure. You can't change my mind, end of conversation." He says, walking to the bathroom. A few minutes later he walks out in a suit and hands me a hanger, a bag around it. "Put it on." He says sternly, I smile softly and walk to the bathroom, The suit is black with a white dress shirt and an orange tie. I put on the suit and walk back to Karl, he turns and stares at me. The corners of his mouth turn upwards and he bites his tongue to keep in a laugh. "You put your tie on wrong, it looks like a wonky elephant." He laughs, walking over to me and untying my tie. He then re-ties it and smiles with satisfaction, I glance at his purple tie and roll my eyes. "I never wore ties, don't blame me." I scoff, I look at the time. "Where is jade?" I ask Karl, He bites his tongue. "No idea actually." He says softly, glancing towards the stairs. "Jade! We have to go now!" I call up the stairs, a few seconds later she hops down the stairs one at a time. "Look! I got dressed all by myself!" She cheers when she reaches the bottom of the stairs. Her yellow dress is at knee length like it should be but I notice the zipper at the front. She looks down at her dress and stares at it. "oops" She mumbles, she goes to run back upstairs but Karl stops her. "Jade let me help, your only 6 and we need to get going. Credits to you for trying though." He says softly as he leads her back upstairs. 

Third Person POV

Quackity and the girls arrive at the dance and are one of the first vehicles to get there. They walk in and the principal walks over. "Ah, I forgot you were planning to help out tonight. Too bad we got everything set up. I guess in that case, Welcome to our schools first ever; Father daughter dance." The principal says, opening the gym doors and revealing a beautifully decorated gymnasium. As they walk in the music starts and seconds later more people start arriving and the gym quickly starts to fill up. Melody and Adeline take Quackity's hand and pull him to the dance floor when their favorite song comes on. "They should have a mother daughter dance too! Mommy loves this song!" Melody says as Quackity spins her around, Adeline nods her head as she spins. "You're right she does love this song, maybe you can talk to your teacher tomorrow and tell her your idea for a mother daughter dance." Quackity says with a smile, Melody nods and the song slowly fades off and ends. Another song starts back up and Adeline jumps with joy when she hears the music start.

"It looks like there's a lot of people here." Annabelle mumbles as they pull into the school parking lot. Dream smiles softly as he finds a parking spot. "It's okay, you don't need to worry about other people. Tonight is about us, I get to spend the whole time here with you." Dream says turning to Annabelle in the backseat, she smiles and unbuckles her seatbelt. Dream gets out of the car and Annabelle runs over to him as they walk into the school. The principal welcomes them and they walk into the gym. "Oo let's go to the snack table first! I heard they have croissants!" Annabelle says with a smile, pulling her dad as she goes towards the snack table. "Okay, Okay! Let's start at the snack table then" Dream says laughing as Annabelle runs to the snack table. Annabelle takes two croissants and gives one to her dad, digging into the other one with a large smile on her face. "Let's go dance!" She cheers, leaving Dream in her dust again as she goes towards the dance floor.

"There's supposed to be a draw, and a dance floor, and a snack table and games. Oh and- were here!" Jade cheers, Karl and SapNap both laugh to themselves and as soon as the car stops Jade unbuckles her seatbelt and jumps out of the car, barely waiting for Karl and SapNap to get out. "We should start at the draw, then the games, then  the dance floor and then after that we can go to the Snack table." She says as she skips across the parking lot, she walks in with a smile on her face and she stares in awe when she sees the decorated gym; unable to recognize this was a gym where kids were probably playing dodgeball in earlier today. "Look there's Melody and Adeline! Annabelle is here too! Everyone is here, well.. Except for Macey, today at school she said she wouldn't be coming because her dad drinks too much and he doesn't want to come with her." Jade says calmly, Karl and SapNap exchange glances. "Now Jade, when someone tells us something like that; we don't tell anyone okay?" SapNap says calmly, kneeling down to her height. Jade bites the inside of her cheek and looks at both of her dads, guilt washing over her. "So should I tell everyone in my gym class to forget I ever said anything then?"
