Slight TW: George is a bit panicky at the beginning here, just a heads up.

George's body refused to stay still. He found himself pacing around the room searching for the words that needed to come, but all the same, they just weren't there. He recollected even the faintest memories he had of him. His older brother...Did Wilbur know?

"George–" Alex pleaded.

All at once, the questioning came, "That can't be possible. I–I mean, Wilbur and I are from L'manburg...How could we be the true line to Kinoko?"

"George look, you should calm down–" Alex walked to Geroge, reaching a hand for his shoulder.

George stood still, inhaling slowly. Alex was right. He was always right. But he couldn't calm down, "Wilbur is dead, Alex. What the hell does this mean for us, for me? What do we do?"

The room stood silent. Insecurity filled the room, consuming each person. What could they do?

Dream felt the heat in his blood rise, fervid passion chasing through his veins. He'd come too far to give up now, "We make things right."

He glared at George, not in an aggressive way, but rather one that portrayed to Geroge just how hellbent his life must have been the moment he learned the lies, and even though George couldn't exactly see his face, he knew this to be true.

George swallowed. He only glared back, "How do you suggest we do that?"

"Wait, I still don't get it though..." Karl took his glass to his mouth, taking a small sip.

"You've found this information, just what do you want to do with it? What's the big idea here?" Karl stared into his glass, absorbed by the way the light reflected off the liquid, then shifted his gaze towards the boys.

Dream exhaled a soft breath of dread, "After we found this stuff, Sapnap and I didn't know what to do at first, so we kept an eye on my father."

"Cause clearly, we have no room to trust him anymore," Sapnap added.

"For three weeks I snuck around, digging into whatever I could without getting caught. I even snuck into my father's headquarters. The room he lets no one enter. I dug into his desk, and found old papers. Papers of which were very illegal..." Dream placed his bag and pulled out more things.

"If you'll look at these, you'll realize why I left and haven't been back to the castle since.
Alex takes the papers from Dream, gazing at them with intensity, "This–this is crazy..."

Alex shuffled through the documents, his pupils expanding, brown orbs dashing left and right over the words he read, the fear in his eyes growing larger and larger.

"Dream..." Alex couldn't fathom words to fit, "I can't even imagine how you dealt with this...you're own father?"

George and Karl gathered around either side of Alex, slowly following in his footsteps of bewilderment.

Alex read outloud, making sure he wasn't seeing things: "For the succession of power, and the hope for Kinoko Kingdom to rise as a great nation, the deaths, necessary besiege, and capture of the Soot family has been sought out, and will continue to be sought until fully terminated by royal decree."

George covered a hand over his mouth. He felt nauseous, as if he was moments away from combusting into tiny pieces, only to be thrown out into the sea, never to be seen again.

"They were tortured...and killed..." Alex could only mutter these words.

Dream? Dream was ashamed, horrified of the tales these pages told of. Disturbed and unsettled...there was more.

"There's diary entries..." He spoke.

"In the–" he pauses, almost disquieted to continue, "In the stack of papers."

Alex flipped through, revealing the page Dream referred to.

Alex read it outloud...

Should I ever pass away before getting to tell you, this entry is for you, Clay. For generations, my father, and the one's before have kept our history. Even so, that history is not such a pretty one...As future king, there are things you must learn, things you'll not want to know how to do. Torture, murder, lie, steal...but I asure you, it is only for your good to learn such tools. Visit my headquarters when the time comes for you to take my crown. They entail techniques. We won the Kinoko Kingdom fairly. Kinoko is ours, don't let other people try to steal it from you. Leave a good mark on our family name son. Whatever you may find out about the history of this place, remember you were created to rule this land. You can do whatever you want. It's all yours. Our family will be a great name to carry on.

"What the hell..." Alex finished.

"It's bullshit, he probably didn't notice I left until a week after," Dream mumbles.

Sapnap stared out the window, the sun slowly fell down as he spoke, "He's clearly brainwashed–power hungry..."

"I left the castle to find the truth. I want to set things right. Sapnap and I stopped here scouting out information before we travel to L'manburg. Fate brought us to you guys I suppose. Considering that George is...well—he's the truth..." Dream spoke, the words falling from his mouth connecting as if what he said was meant to be said...it was impactful...

At this, George could only question and wonder how it was that Dream had so much faith in him after finding this out.

How was Geroge supposed to feel? What could he do with this information? Could he handle this immense pressure?

"There's only one thing we can do now that we know this," Karl explained.

All eyes turned to him, "We've gotta go with you guys and make this right."

George sighs,"We've gotta find my adoptive brother, Tommy."
