The room was silent, Wilson currently had his head down in his notes. Scribbling away at the crumpled paper on his lap. He held his pen gracefully, pausing for a tick to think of more dot-points.

Mmm... okay it seems curious, playful... and childish. All basic traits of a human child. They act similar... hmm.. what else...?

Wilson had been sternly keeping an eye on his creation for a few hours now, tracking and noting down its behaviour.

So far, it has been one of the most stressful jobs in his life, which was surprising! He usually loved researching with all of his heart, and don't get him wrong this new experiment was very intriguing! But baby-sitting was not something he was used to. And to be frank- this thing wasn't any different from an ordinary child... other than its apperance. The little guy was getting up to all sorts of trouble whenever he looked away! Even if he looked away for just a moment-! He couldn't afford to get distracted. Wilson hummed quietly and drew a couple of lines, making sure the page was neat as possible.

Now... hmmm... what else could he write dow-

CRASH

A loud bang alerted Wilson, and he already knew something horrible probably happened...

He immediately shot his head around and laid his eyes on the suspect, the creation. There it was, timidly standing on a small bench where his most prized, laboratory flask bottle usually was. His eyes went wide, and slowly moved down to the floor beneath the bench. Glass, everywhere. Wait...!

...

Wilson dropped the page he was carrying, held back a breath, and ominously tiptoed towards the mess. He looked at the shattered glass, and then the culprit. He repeated the same motion a couple of times before stopping, staring the creature dead in the eye, and inhaling.

"NOOOOOOO!!" He dropped down onto his knees, "...That was my favourite flask...!!" The flask was in pieces now, tiny bits of it shattered everywhere. Out of all of the things to break, it was the bottle he was most attached to. Wilson looked at the scene once again and covered his face with his hands. "Augh... why...?" He already missed it... the glass that gave it form was full of high-quality material... the surface was so smooth and shiny... it was always reliable whenever he used it in an experiment! Oh that poor poor flask bottle... how did he let this happen!?

The creature sat there immobile, feeling slightly guilty for the destruction. It looked at its papa dearly, watching him break-down over a simple glass bottle. Did it do this...? Will it be able to fix it...?

It just sat there, not sure how to respond.

After a few moments of grieving, Wilson shook his head and gazed back at the creature once again, he tried to collect himself. "Okay. I think I need to educate you on safety in the lab."

The two of them spent a long time, sat down at the dining table. Wilson rambling about how you shouldn't leave glass on the floor, how you shouldn't knock over mysterious objects and how you shouldn't experiment with dangerous chemicals if you don't know what they do. The creature couldn't have been more uninterested, it spent most of the talk slumped over at the table pretending to listen. Ugh... it was so bored! It would rather do anything else... he never seemed to stop talking! What else could it do to pass the time...? Would he even notice if he sneaked away?

...Wait!

Papa's hair looks kind of fluffy!

Oooh...!

As Wilson was babbling on and on about safety, the little red figure began to climb and reach closer to him. It was a bit of a struggle but the creature persisted. Wilson was so distracted by science-talk that he couldn't even notice the weight on his arms! It let out a pant as it hopped upwards, eventually reaching up to his shoulders without him noticing! He was rambling to no-one now, and it was so close to touching his luxurious hair...
