Everyday is torture without you by my side.
After that call on Sunday, Atsumu noticed that Omi was off all week. He could tell he was depressed, really depressed that it is noticeable in the way he speaks, smiles, and responds, but he wouldn't admit it.
He was feeling down himself, but still, he tried his best to distract his boyfriend from that unpleasant feeling, rambling about his several shenanigans in the U.S. but nothing seemed to work. Sakusa seemed to feel even more miserable missing the blonde.
All Atsumu wanted to do was to be with him and hold him tight until their sorrow fades away.
Then, he thought of something that might make him feel better.
"Hello?".
"Hi, Samu!! How're ya? How's the business goin'?". Atsumu greeted a little crack in his voice.
"Eeh... It's ok... More downs than ups lately, though...". Osamu admitted
"Ooh... Is it about the branch in Tokyo?".
"Yeah... We haven't been making so much profit to make that happen... But we'll see how it goes". The gray-haired said before a sigh.
"Hmm... Everything will be fine, Samu, after all, it's you!"
"Thanks, Tsumu,,, I really needed that... Anyways, do you need something?"
'Well, I called to ask ya a favor... You see... Omi's not feeling very good lately, so I wanted to order some umeboshi onigiri so you can deliver it to him since it's his favorite".
"Sure, no problem. I'll have it delivered as soon as I can".
After his brother thanked him and told him his order, Osamu got onto
it, a little worried about Sakusa. He could tell he was sadder and sadder with the passing of the months. He'd seen him sometimes since Tsumu left when they hung out with Suna, his recent ex-boyfriend.
As soon as the latter's memory threatened to unleash a series of
depressing feelings about their break up, he pushed those thoughts
away and kept cooking.Onigiri Miya was about to close after a pretty acceptable day, but not
nearly as good as they used to have before they opened a new branch in
the city nearby. Expenses got bigger, and they were barely making it
to the next month without red numbers, so his dream of expanding to Tokyo seemed very distant now. He felt discouraged occasionally thinking about these things recently. When the order was ready, Samu waited for the delivery guy, Yamato, who arrived soon after saying he wasn't feeling well because his headache got worse.
Since it was the last order of the day, Samu dismissed him, deciding to close the restaurant and deliver it himself.
While heading to Sakusa's apartment, he got a little restless, but soon shook off that feeling.
A feeling he never should've felt in the first place.
Once there, he rang the bell but no one attended.
He waited a few moments before trying again, this time the door opening but finding no one behind it.
Osamu walked in cautiously, finding Sakusa's behaviour strange since
he walked away from the door without even looking at him, stumbling a little.
As he closed the door and explained Tsumu gave him a gift, the scent
of alcohol hit him. How much did he drink? And for how long?
He tried once again to talk to him, after placing the food on the table, but Sakusa just grunted in response, grabbing his head, still not looking at him.
"Sakusa? Hey! Are you ok? Kiyoomi!?". Osamu asked loudly with worry which was also plastered into his face as well.
After practically yelling, the taller man turned around and froze.
He couldn't believe his eyes.
Seeing everything through a blurry filter because of how drunk he was, with the bright light making Osamu's hair look somewhat blonde, his heart skipped a beat as he swore Atsumu was there.
Atsumu, the love of his life, at home at last, beside him.
Finally, all those days of missing him with all his soul would end. The unbearable pain that he decided to try to drown in alcohol that afternoon, would go away.
He was overwhelmed by emotion and quickly got closer to kiss him firmly, feeling tears of joy form in his eyes.
Osamu froze.
What was happening?
Was this real? Wasn't this just one of the many fantasies he had about him?
Surprise and guilt made his chest ache, but also, he couldn't help but to close his eyes, his heart pounding at the passion coming from his brother's boyfriend.
His forbidden love.
