"I'll be there tonight and don't forget to ring me everyday"

She said lowly, the emotion in her voice brings a tear to my eye

"Don't make me cry we are going to see each other tonight"

"I'm really trying not to but I really am going to miss having you around to back me up when Ardens being an asshole"

She looks up at me and her face makes the tears fall freely

"Damn it fay, why? now I'm crying"

She hugs me tightly and I hold her back.

"Love you sis"

"Love you too"

She replied sadly. I pull away as Arden walks in and wraps me in his arms

"Love you little sis"

"Love you big bro"

He kisses my head and holds my face in his hands

"You've got this and i've got you"

I smile and he kisses my head then leads me out to the car. I stop and shake my head

"Nope we are taking my car come on Arthur let's blow this dump"

He slaps his hands together

"I was hoping you were going to say that, what are we taking?"

He practically skips towards the garage

"What would you like me to take? You choose?"

"Audi R8"

I roll my eyes but smile and grab my keys of the wall and open the driver door then I throw the keys to Arthur

"You can drive, and brother if I come back and there's so much as a scratch on my cars I'll kill you"

"No one but me will touch them I promise"

"Good"

We spend the drive talking about everything other than cancer, he holds my hand the entire time but as we get closer to his territory he slows down considerably

"Ok so I have a surprise for you. I've been dying to tell you but I decided to wait and show you. Close your eyes''

"I don't like surprises"

"Humour me aspen please"

I groan but close my eyes

"Fine"

"Good so as you know I'm extremely close with our Neighbouring pack alpha Luca, we grew up together and share a lot of the same things like his pack use our hospital and his kids come to our schools. His pack is half the size of ours and they can come and go as they please. Basically sister packs. Well one thing we do share is something we always did as kids and when we were old enough we bought the place and it's where our packs spend their friday nights. Ok open"

I open my eyes and gasp. We are on a race track.

"You own a racetrack?"

"Yep and we have races every Friday night, both humans and wolves attend it and anyone can enter as long as they have a stock car."

"Shut the fuck up! this is amazing"

I jump up on the headrest of my seat and look the place over, it was huge and had so much room. It was probably as big as a Nascar track.

"Belt in let's see what this baby can really do"

"If I had known this was here I'd definitely chosen a better car"

He scoff at me

"Do not offend my girl please"

I chuckle but sit down and belt up

"Your only girl is right here and don't you forget it"

He winks at me and he takes off at full speed making me scream in shock then of joy. I cackled away as we flew round the course like there was no care in the world. When he was done we switched places and I took off.

"That was honestly the best surprise iv ever gotten"

I said breathlessly, looking at him grinning.

"Good. Now I wanted to talk to you before we entered our territory and I'm nervous so please don't react until I'm done"

A sense of doom filled me up. He took my hand then kissed it as I tried to keep myself from freaking out.

"You know about my past. You know I was a man whore"

"I do"

"Well anyone from before you are not important to me. None of them meant anything. But there was a lot of them and some from within the pack. They have no right to me or no right to make you feel like they know anything about me but there's one in particular who I can honestly say I hate."

He pulls his hands down his face looking exhausted but he continues

"She is a pain in my side and I have never gone back there. I was with her one time and since she claims I'm going to choose her as Luna. I didn't even know this until frank told me this morning. He's worried she will be a bitch but I want you to know that anything she's been telling people is not true. Franks mate Tiffany said since she found out I found you she has been spreading rumours like wildfire and I plan on addressing them tonight and telling everyone the truth and if she approaches you I want you to put her in her place."

He looks at me sternly.

"Don't let her refer to you as anything but Luna and if you need to make her submit. I'll throw her in the damn dungeon if I have to. I just ask that you don't judge me for the mistakes iv made in the past but just from the moment I found out you were my mate"

I sigh, it's not like I will ever get mad at him again. And honestly I was expecting this

"I'll put her in her place, don't worry, just don't let her touch you or anything. What's her name?"

He rolls his eyes

"Angelica. Hell I even hate her name"

I snort and chuckle

"It is rather obnoxious. Ok take me home and I need to meet this alpha friend of yours"

"Luca will be there tonight with some of his pack. We had actually considered merging our packs but the estate between us has just always been in the way"

"Has he got a mate?"

"She died in a rogue attack when he was 19, none of the women trained before that now he is similar to your pack, they train as soon as they can walk and every woman has to train even if they don't want to. Don't bring her or a mate up, it just upsets him. I'm honestly nervous to tell him my news. He's like a brother to me. Even more so than frank and Fred"

He shakes his head sadly before he finishes

"When they found his mate she was in peaces, I mean shredded. If it wasn't for her blood all over the place you wouldn't have even recognised her"

I don't answer. The thought of a mate dying stung like you wouldn't believe. More than I could admit out loud without falling apart. He seemed to see my unease and stuck a smoke in my mouth and kissed my hand. It only took a few minutes to get to the territory and I was pleasantly surprised.

As we drove in the guards waved to us, we drove through the forest and houses were littered throughout the forest. A large hospital sat off to the side of the road and then we came into a clearing. A school was on the opposite side of the hospital and it was small. Kids played happily. A small shop sat in the centre of the territory and more houses surrounded it. I could see what he meant by not having much room. It wasn't overflowing with houses but houses were everywhere and you could see where they had to destroy part of the forest to make more. We drove around a large lake we're more modern, high class houses stood. On the hill stood a large packhouse but we drove past it and to the end of the road to a large bungalow. It had a huge garage attached to it and it sat right on the water with a fence surrounding the place.

It was a beautiful brick house that almost looked camouflage with the trees around it. He pulled up the drive where the garage was open and my scrap car was sitting. He had a few other cars including a stock car but he pulled in and parked my Audi beside my scrap car. He had plenty of tools but not as many as me.

"I have my men out looking for parts for the scrap car, hopefully we can get started on it tomorrow or the next day"

"You want to help me?"

I smiled at him.

"Ofcourse. I want to finish it for you before I- um I want to help you"

I closed my eyes and pushed all thoughts of that out. I climbed from
The car and took a deep breath. He walked over to me and kissed my head and led me towards the house.

"Come see your new home"

I nodded and let him lead the way. He opened the door and I gasp. It was an open plan living room kitchen with floor to ceiling windows opening up to a deck overlooking the lake. The kitchen was large and clean, the walls were exposed brick and it made the place more homely. A huge fireplace sat under a large tv. Infront had an enormous sectional sofa surrounding the place. Behind the sofa was a huge dining room table looking out towards the lake. A large kitchen island with tall chairs sat in the middle of the kitchen. Even though it was one room it had 3 different areas that felt separate.

A man not much older then me walks in and smiles

"Ahh alpha your back. Luna it's nice to meet you"

"Aspen, this is Greg, our cook and head house keeper. He runs the staff from here and at the packhouse. We also have a maid Susan who is Greg's mate. They live next door and are always around if you need anything."

"Yes, my wife is just out buying supplies for tonight. I can't tell you how excited we are to finally have a Luna and especially a princess. We as a pack feel truly blessed"

All my emotions hit me at once and I started to cry. Greg's eyes widened

"I'm sorry Luna did I say so-"

I sobbed harder, Arthur pulled me into his arms

"It's nothing you said Greg, we just have a bit of news for you and Susan when she arrives back"

"I'm here, what's wrong? Luna, are you ok?"

The small dark haired woman looked between the 3 of us with a no bullshit look on her face

"What did you 2 dumbasses do to upset her"

I snorted and laughed through my tears and shook my head

"No, they did nothing. I'm just a little emotional"

"Yes we got some troubling news yesterday. Could you both take a seat"

They looked at each other and Arthur sighed, running his hand down his face.

"So I got the call that the cancer is back but it grew back double the size and I'm terminal. Iv been given 2 Months-"

I sob harder into his chest, he sits down and pulls me onto his knee. I just hold onto him for dear life as he tries to soothe me.

"I'm so sorry baby. I'm so sorry I'm doing this to you"

"You're not doing it. It's the cancer that's stealing you from me"

"I'll always be in your heart"

I sob harder. I didn't believe in that mumbo jumbo. I just held onto him tighter wishing this was all a bad dream and I would wake up any minute now

I feel him lift me and then I feel cool air surrounding me. I looked up and realised we were outside. He was holding me tight and he was smoking looking out to the water. He had unshed tears in his own eyes. I kissed his lips gently and sat up a little straighter

"I'm sorry I keep crying. But it keeps hitting me"

He pulls my chin up to look at him and uses his thumb to wipe the tears away

"Never apologise for crying. Plus I like holding you. I just wish there was something I could do to help"

I light a fag and smoke it slowly, watching the lake infront of us, at the far side of the lake there is a huge bouncy house sitting on the water with water slides and different activities.

"That looks like so much fun"

He snorts and nods

"That's another thing me and Luca decided to buy"
