"Finally, we're home..!"

With a tired smile, you opened the doors to your home, and instantly fell on top of your mattress. Your backpack was dropped at the side of your bed. Ranboo was also tired, walking like a zombie, and decided to flop onto your sofa face first after closing the door. He groaned in agony, and his ears seemed to droop in dread.

You pouted at this.

"Heyy, come on bud.. Walking didn't hurt you that much, did it?"

Ranboo's voice was muffled, but you could hear his response.

"..NnNnnoo, I'm just .. exhausted.."

With a heavy but relaxing sigh, your muscles ease their tension, as you begin to sink into your bed. It really was quite comfy, you had to admit.

"Not an exercising man?"

Muffled chuckles could be heard from Ranboo.

"Not at all. I'm so thin and skinny, I look like a oreo flavored pocky stick."

You laugh at his joke, your hands being placed on your stomach to relax. Staring up at the ceiling, you begun to ramble.

".. Today was something, huh?"

"Mhm.."

"What do you think that big monster was?"

"It.. looked like .. one of those sea things.."

"You mean an alligator?-"

"I know what an alligator is, dingus!"

Ranboo's remark made you laugh more, especially the fact that he was still laying face first into your sofa.

"An axolotl, Ran."

".. Ohh, yeahhh.. that's what it is.."

After a moment of debate, you roll over on your side to reach for your backpack on the floor. Once you took it, you slide the zipper to take out the treasure you both had found.

The blue crystal didn't shine nearly as bright, but it still glowed. Looking more closely, it felt as if something was inside.

Ranboo heard you opening your back, and rolled to his side to face you. His ears flicked, perking up in surprise when seeing the crystal again.

".. What do you think it's for, [Y/N]?"

"I.. don't know.. But it feels really important. If my mother's book mentioned this water temple, this crystal has to mean something. Maybe I'm getting closer to figuring out what happened to her.."

Ranboo's ears fell just a touch, hearing the mention of your mother. It seemed this was such a huge focus for you, and it hurt him to see how desperate you were. He really wished you took more breaks, and .. just lived your life.

Before he could say any more, you slid off your bed, grabbing your backpack and the crystal with you. Opening your front doors and walking outside made Ranboo sit up in worry.
