Dozing comfortably under his mate's window, Garrick kept one eye on the balcony and the other on his surroundings. A dusty grey wolf with highlights of blue in the light trotted up to him and stood expectantly. He knew what his cousin wanted, he wanted him to run with the pack as was the usual routine. He lifted his head a chuffed before coming to a stand to join them. Just as he was about to take off a loud noise exploded from the balcony. He was so startled that he instantly turned back into a man, staring expectantly at the balcony. As he listened closely, he realized that it was music he was hearing. The melody was familiar, but it was very old. Humans, wolves and vampires didn't make music any longer, the knowledge had been lost to them. To the best of his knowledge only mech enthusiasts collected electronics that played music and it seemed they were the only one's adept at making them work. It sounded like a full band was in her rooms. He looked around and noticed that the wolves were gathering around him looking towards her balcony as well.
A silver wolf trotted towards him turning into an adolescent boy who was scratching his head in confusion. "What's going on? Why are they just sitting here? It's only Darra and her music," he said. He looked at the boy, his son, and arched a brow. "Has she not told you that music and its art are all but lost to us? Of all the wolves, vampires and men, musicianship has died out. Whatever she has up there playing recorded music is a treasure beyond any of our imaginings," Garrick said softly. Aiden chuckled at first before laughing outright. "I bet she doesn't even know. She loves her music though; this is a routine for her. You should hear her play guitar," Aiden said as he walked away, shifting back to wolf along the way. Garrick crossed his arms over his chest with a soft smirk, his mate was a musician it seemed. He looked up just as she padded back out to the balcony. She looked over the crowd of wolves before her eyes came to rest on him. As wolf shifters they weren't shy about nudity, but he was slightly nervous how he'd react if she kept watching him the way she was. He could feel her gaze like little fingers running lightly over his skin. He knew the moment her gaze strayed lower as every muscle in his body stiffened.
Darra stood there watching. Apparently, her music had attracted an audience and one very naked king of wolves. She allowed herself to take him in fully, he truly was a fine specimen of male. His body was packed with lean muscle, attributes of his race. He stood there completely unashamed, watching her as she watched him. When she let her gaze stray lower her breath caught in her throat and her eyes rounded to saucers. She was vaguely aware of hearing and feeling herself panting. Her nails had elongated and were now clawing into the stone of the balustrade. Her lips parted and her tongue darted out to moisten them. Garrick growled, his eyes glowing with the power of his kind and the need to claim his mate. "Come to me Darra," he barked up at her. She gasped and hissed at him finally breaking free of the thrall he'd held her in. Garrick narrowed his eyes when he heard her hiss at him. As she'd been watching him, he'd felt and seen the appreciation in her gaze. She'd gripped the stone balustrade with her claws, and he'd thought he'd heard her panting. Oh, she wanted him but now he saw alarm and fear in her eyes. She went to pull away from the balustrade but yelped when her claws didn't come free. Humor bubbled up in him as she leaned over to see why her hands wouldn't come free. She blew hair off her forehead as she worked her claws free. As the last few popped free, she slipped on the tiled floor and fell backwards, her bare legs flying up in the air. He barked out a laugh watching her antics. She hopped up immediately and glared at him before marching back into her rooms. Shaking his head, he shifted back to wolf and finally went for his run. Darra chuckled as she headed to the shower. Damn wolf, just seeing him naked had scrambled her brains. She'd never been clumsy in all her centuries of life, that wolf was a danger.
