Elena when she sees you for the first time after Klaus attacks you and she's flooded with relief that you're safe.
"Is that Y/N ?" Bonnie gestured to where, you stood with Stefan and Jeremy.
"Yeah. She didn't want to stay off school. To make sure that her parents didn't get suspicious" Elena filled her in.
"Have you guys had any luck in tracking down Klaus ?" Bonnie changed the topic of conversation for Elena's sake.
"Not yet. I think, Damon's working on it" She shrugged as she closed her locker.
"And until you find him ?" Bonnie closed her own locker.
"Im not letting Y/N out of my sight. If she isn't with me then she will be with Enzo, Stefan, Damon or Jeremy" She explained as you locked eyes with her.
"Stef, Jer, I'm gonna head to class a little early" You try to escape your two overly protective best friends.
"I could walk you" Jeremy suggests as he handed you your chemistry textbook.
"No, guys ... It's fine. I think that I'll walk with Elena. We have some thing that we really need to talk about" You assure the two.
"Alright. I'll see you after class. I'm going to drive you home, today" Stefan walked away with a smile on his face.
"Go, Jer. I'll be fine" You hugged him and made your way over to where Elena and Bonnie stood.
"Hey" You greeted them and they turned to face you.
"Hey Y/N/N" Bonnie smiled, hugging you before walking off towards her class.
"I'm so sorry" Elena apologised to you as soon as they were out of earshot.
"What for ?" You places one hand on her waist to pull her closer to you.
"For Klaus attacking you" She seemed to be shocked that you weren't mad at her.
You set off walking, Elena followed with her hand holding onto yours.
"It wasn't your fault, Elena. You weren't the one who attacked me. I should have really listened to you about staying with Stefan and Damon" You explains to your girlfriend, squeezing her hand gently.
"That doesnt mean it wasn't my fault. It's my fault. No matter, which way I look at it" Elena paused as she met your gaze.
"Look at me" You tilted her head do that she looked into your eyes but she avoids your gaze.
"I cant" She shook her head, keeping her eyes in her feet.
"Elena please, just look at me" You plead with your girlfriend.

"I thought that I'd lost you ... When I saw lying there unconscious ... I thought you were dead" She admitted to you.
"But I'm not - I'm alive and I'm not going anywhere. I promise" You assured her.
"How can you promise me that ?" Elenas voice raises slightly as tears clouded her vision.
"Don't cry, please, I'm okay. I'm here and I'm not going anywhere. I know I should not make promises like that ... but if that is what gives you peace of mind. Then, I will do my best to keep my word. I don't want to see you like this - baby. Not now and not ever" You softly take her face in your hands.
"I love you, Y/N/N" She struggled to wipe her tears as the bell for 1st period rang.
"I love you too" You pressed your lip's to hers and reluctantly pulled away.
"See you ... after class" She scanned your face quickly.
"Yes. Just meet me back at the Salvatores house" You walk away and entered your classroom.
