"Why are we at Ihop?" Luke asked, holding the menu up to his face.

"Well, we need to talk about some stuff." I replied.

"What is there to talk about? The deal was clear and simple." Luke said in an annoyed tone.

"I know, but I'm need some extra help from your friend, Ashton." I stated, annoyed by his annoyance.

"What does Ashton have to do with this?" Luke continued with his menu.

"Look, I know our original plan was to "go out" with me and then you hit on Becky so she would fall for you instead of Austin. But your friend, Ashton, has made his way into Becky's life." I explained. "So now we need his help."

"Well, what did you expect? He lives with Austin." He put his menu down and looked at me straight in the eyes. I was so done with his shit.

"I know, but I need his help." I expressed how important this is.

"Well, I could ask him, but I doubt that he'll agree to this. He's a good guy." Luke sighed.

"Everybody changes. We just need to give him a good reason to." I smirked, just as the waiter came to take our order. Luke shrugged and started with the waiter.

"...Happy birthday, dear Austin. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!" Everybody sang.

Austin's mom, his Aunt, and some of his friends threw him a small surprise party at his favorite restaurant.

Ashton and I agreed to help them, so we helped drag him here.

"Thanks, you guys are the best." Austin smiled, glancing around the table.

"Anything for my good friend. You should blow the candles out now." His friend, Alex, said. He was obviously anxious to get some of that basketball cake. It actually looked really good

Austin blew them out, then glanced at me.

Alex was one of Austin's close friends. He was short, had blonde highlights streaming out of his chestnut hair. Alex was actually pretty good looking, but I had enough guy problems.

Alex had also brought some other friends.

There was Zach, a dirty blonde who dressed pretty fly. He seemed about 19ish, he already had some beard stubble.

Then, there was Robert. At first I thought he was Mexican. I tried speaking to him in spanish. He just looked at me like I was crazy. I had no intention to speak to him after that.

"Yay!" Michele (Austin's mom) cheered. "What did you wish for??"

Austin shrugged, still looking at me.

Alex was the first one to get a piece of the chocolate cake.

After everyone got some cake, we all returned to our previous seats. I was at a round table with Sarah, Ashton, Austin, Michele, Robert, Zach, Alex, and last (and certainty my least favorite) Luke.

I didn't ask Austin about it, but I figured Luke and Ashton were pretty good friends by the way they talked to each other.

Austin passes me a slice of cake and I offer him a grateful smile.

"I'll be right back." Austin says.

"Where are you going?" I ask quickly. Is he seriously leaving me here with these people?
