The girls wake to the shrill sound of a phone ringing. Reaching over, Calissa sleepily picks up her ringing phone, accepting the call. Audrey yawns and returns to her pleasant dreams.
"Hi honey, I didn't get to see you at Family Day today. Do you want to go to Remy's and grab some dinner?"
"Yeah, I'd like that dad.-" Hesitating Calissa finally says, "I think there's something we need to talk about. I accidentally heard you on the phone with what I think was mom." Waiting with bated breath for her father's reply, Lissa sits down at her vanity.
Audrey, realizing that this is a private moment, walks over to the fairy. Bending down to give her a kiss on the cheek in farewell, Audrey leaves Calissa's dorm blushing heavily. Biting her lip to keep down her smile Audrey continues in the direction of her room with her shoes in hand.
Back in Calissa's shared dorm, she stares at herself in the mirror with wide brown eyes and a red face. Startling when her father replies, She focuses back on the conversation. With a mental note to talk to her crush later.
"Yes, that was your mother on the phone earlier. I really think we should have this discussion in person. Do you want to meet me there?"
"Yeah, I'll see you soon." Hanging up after their goodbyes, Calissa decides to change out of her rumpled dress into something more comfortable.
Grabbing her dorm key and leaving a note for Selina, she leaves her room. Arriving at the Parisian styled restaurant 20 minutes later, Calissa walked in heading over to the greeter. Giving them her name, they lead her over to a table already seating her father. Taking a deep breath The brunette sits down across from her father, Fred.
"Would you like a few minutes to order?" Says the waiter. Squinting at the nametag Calissa claims, "Um no thank you, Imani. I'll have chicken alfredo with an iced tea." After receiving Fred's order the waiter walks away. Fred takes a deep breath, then begins the story.
"Before your mother and I met she had a brief relationship with a villain. He had called on Blue to ask for a wish, what that wish was she never told me. After a few more visits between them, she grew pregnant with you. I don't know if he is aware that they had a baby together." Taking in her bewildered expression he pauses. "Nothing has to change between us if you don't want it to. You will always be my daughter through blood or not." He takes her hand in his.
Calissa lets a few tears fall before she responds. "Did she tell you who he was? Why didn't she want me to know?"
Fred sighs in resignation, looking into his daughter's eyes he says, "James Hook. I think in her own way she didn't want to bring you anymore pain. Your mother knows how you feel about her, about her being away so much."
Calissa sits in shock, barely registering the food being placed in front of her. Meeting her father's blue eyes, Calissa speaks up, "Do Freddy and Yaz know?"
Fred shakes his head no. "I'll leave that up for you to decide."

An hour later Calissa stands before her dorm room, key in hand about to walk in. Interrupting is a text from Jazelle.
Ellebell: Heyy girly, did you decide on a better time for girls night?
Lissa: Can we do it tonight?
Ellebell: Yay!!, I'll let the girls know. Come over.
Lissa: on my way.
Striding into her room, Calissa snags a blanket from the end of her bed. With her leftovers in one hand and her blanket in the other she heads to Jazelle's dorm room. Calissa and Jazelle met in their freshman year at Auradon prep. The Daughter of Tarzan and Jane loves to explore her surroundings, especially the woods. Calissa was on her first hike in the forest bordering the school and neither looking in front of them, quite literally bumped into each other. And the rest was history. After the shock early in the evening the teenager was happy to be among friends. She wasn't sure what she wanted to do with the news. For sure her siblings will be the first to know. But one thing she knew for sure, Calissa needed to talk to Blue.
Knocking on Jazelle and Annika's door, she waited. Evana opened the door to let her in. Greeting her is their friend group consisting of: Evana, Daughter of Eugene and Rapunzel. Maisie, Daughter of Jack Frost. Jazelle, and Poppy, Daughter of Peter Pan. Annika, the Daughter of Rosetta must have decided to sleep elsewhere tonight.
Maisie sits on the floor leaning on the bed, while Poppy lies down in the air, most likely she got stuck up there and gave up on trying to get down. Evana stretches out on Annika's unoccupied bed. With the projector geared up with a selected movie all that was left was Calissa to relax. The day may have begun difficult but the evening brought lots of laughter and fond new memories of some of the fairy's favorite people.
And in that moment Calissa didn't care what the future brought to her doorstep, as long as she had her friends and family she was happy. While the other girls ate their popcorn and pizza focusing on the movie playing, Calissa pondered to herself thoughts of James Hook. She knew the story of course, Peter Pan taunted Captain Hook for decades, then finally defeated him by throwing him overboard for Tic Toc Croc to possibly eat.
It was hard for her to imagine having him as a father. She's grateful for her more or less happy childhood, but even as a child she often thought of the Isle. What it must be like for its inhabitants. From what she could see of it, it didn't seem happy, with it's dark, gloomy atmosphere. Adults in her life often told her the Isle was where chaos reigned. And she knew then she wanted to visit the place. While Calissa loves Auradon, nothing exciting happens here. Everything is cookie cutter perfect. Too perfect. But on the Isle everything is real. Real emotions, real fights, real problems. The only issues in Auradon are snobby princes and princesses. Which Calissa could gladly live without.
The following morning Calissa wakes to the sun shining in her face. Squinting her eyes open, she has one thing on her mind. Calissa needs to pay the VK's a little visit. Stopping by her dorm to get ready for the day, Calissa sluggishly walks in to see her mother sitting on her bed. The Blue Fairy or more commonly known to her family as Blue, sat with her back as straight as her blonde hair. Her wide azure eyes scanned her daughter's figure warily.
"Hi." Her mother squeaks.
