Calissa was tired of the color blue.

It is the color of her magic.

It is her mother's name.

And it is the color of the dress her dad had sent her all those weeks ago.

The last of her friend group that had not yet gotten a dress for Ben's coronation, is Maisie. The platinum blonde is a huge procrastinator. Everyone of her friends could tell you so. So it wasn't a surprise when she came knocking on the fairy's door the morning of the biggest event of the decade, inviting her best friend to go dress shopping with her. And waking up Selina, who in turn threw a shoe at the pair. So to escape Selina's wrath, Calissa said yes. So there they stand in Charlotte La Bouff's beauty boutique searching for the perfect dress. As the time drew near, so did Calissa's boredom.

Huffing with impatience Calissa exclaims, "You look great in every dress you've tried on. Can you just pick one?"

Staring at the brunette with a deadpan expression on her pale face Maisie said, "No."

Picking a random dress from the rack closest to her, Calissa shows it to Maisie. Who exclaims, "That's the one!"

 Who exclaims, "That's the one!"

Before Calissa could meet her friends in front of the cathedral, she and the VK's decided to meet up before the event, just in case anything was altered to the plan. Arriving at her first destination, Calissa knocked on the girls' door.

Soon opened by Evie. Taking in the many ruffles of her dress, she found it really suited the daughter of the Evil Queen. Letting Calissa in, Evie took a step toward Mal, muttering something about makeup. "You both look really nice." Said Calissa with a small genuine smile on her freckled face. Smiling softly back at her, the daughters of the Evil Queen and Maleficent linked arms with the girl in bright crimson, not questioning the fairy on her bold and different choice. "Hey, does anyone know who Audrey's taking to Ben's coronation?"

With a quick glance between Evie and Mal the latter said, "She announced that Chad was her new boyfriend. So she's probably going with him."

While the girls were watching her face or for sparkly mist, Calissa learned long ago that making a scene or a certain reaction would get her nowhere. If there's one thing she can always count on it's to keep her expressions neutral.

"Oh. How nice for her." Calissa says with barely contained sadness. The girl had hoped that maybe something had changed with their dynamic when Audrey comforted her on Family Day. But it seems it was just wishful thinking.

Letting the awkward conversation go, the trio walked at a brisk pace to the front of the school, where Mal met Ben in the carriage. The cathedral in Auradon was a beautiful building. With stained glass windows depicting only the famous stories. Like King Adam and Queen Belle with the iconic rose. Or Cinderella with her uncomfortable and very breakable shoe. But what Calissa likes most about the building is the architecture and the history behind it. Calissa read in a book once that there might be hidden passages beneath. What she would give to explore them.
