I wonder why great people are how they are. Some were born in a well-off family while others started from scratch.
"We are what we are. We have been what we have been."
I remember the line.
As I read and research and try to learn more about things I wanted to (but ended up not storing them inside my head which frustrates me sometimes) I remember one of the nutrition month theme in school "Nature or Nurture".
Maybe we are influenced more by our genetic make up, bloodlines and innate, intrinsic traits rather than our environment, where and how we grew and was brought up and what food we eat and what we prefer eating.
Some people also believe that we are what we eat. The healthier we eat, the healthier we look and think.
It has really been one of the most debated topics : How the environment nurtured us and how our nature took its part on that influence.
Were great leaders born with great traits or they just developed it along the way.
Some infamous tyrants became who they were because their past sufferings have greatly influenced them urging themselves to take vengeance but in the end, also, hurt innocent people who knew nothing about their pain.
I do not want to name names but some of you knew about some famous colonizers and infamous ones.
They waged war and took over the place, some use religion to convince others and unite them with their clans or use them as slaves and eventually ruled over their lands.
Plagues and famines, sickness, illness and wars and deceit, bloodsheds and tears people have wept.
How did some endure the pain? Can they not feel others pain? How did they become so callous-hearted?
How did the people heal after that? What was the aftermath?
I also encountered in the topics I have scrolled on the internet, some mass killings and the invasions.
I am thinking about how they were able to conceive such tactics and techniques.
Did people from the past taught them how or they met people from the future and they learned from them these things? Are aliens involved in this or some advance societies and people?Despite my curiousity, still not much is stored inside my head.
Sometimes I am thinking about how complicated building empires can be.
I mean some of them need to make deals and connections with people who they believe would be their future enemies.
They make connections only to get closer to their enemies or maybe an attempt to giving them the benefit of the doubt.
Some would say they have to do it in order to win wars.
Some people just feel that they are thriving whenever they are on the top, the greatest of anything or everything and I do not understand it.
Some great empires got dissolved and more countries existed. But what if the countries and their independence were just facade to cover up the silent tyrany of todays society. Maybe a person or a group of people would want to take over most of the places, communities or the entire world?
Who knows? No one dared to ask.
