Skyscrapers

It is magnificent and inspiring to see big and tall buildings.

I am very amazed and amused whenever I see them.

The buildings I think I would only see on televisions, I already see in real life. But one of the things I failed to understand is how they built it and the resources they used to make it. How much energy they need to power, light it up and cool it inside. How do they take care of their waste and how they discard them.

I am very sad that they drill very deep holes on the ground to anchor and make foundations stronger. No one can build any building higher without strong foundations. But they have taken toll on the environment, they knew but their ambitions to have higher ones is stronger than their volition.

Maybe they would say, it is impossible for just a few skyscrapers to affect the rising temperature and the climate change.

Maybe you would say "you are ignorant for saying these things, you know nothing about engineering and advancement of technology".

Maybe I know nothing about that. How would I know it? Am I a biologist? Am I a environmental specialist?

No, not at all.

Maybe I should just keep my thoughts in. But maybe just maybe you would reflect on it once you will realize the connection.

Also, there has been a great connection between power and tall buildings, exalting people, group of people or sacrificing them.

Early civilizations have used them as a place to conduct rituals and maybe some magical things I knew nothing about.

Just to end this, maybe I know nothing.
